RIHANNA ON PERFORMING AT THE SUPER BOWL: ‘I JUST COULDN’T BE A SELLOUT’ – (10/10/2019)

Rihanna won’t be hitting the stage at the Super Bowl and the singer has explained why. In a new interview with Vogue, Rih revealed that she turned down the opportunity to perform at the halftime show in support of Colin Kaepernick. She said, “Absolutely. I couldn’t dare do that. For what? Who gains from that? Not my people. I just couldn’t be a sellout. I couldn’t be an enabler. There’s things within that organization that I do not agree with at all, and I was not about to go and be of service to them in any way.” 

Rihanna also spoke on President Trump, saying, “Put an Arab man with that same weapon in that same Walmart and there is no way that Trump would sit there and address it publicly as a mental health problem. The most mentally ill human being in America right now seems to be the president.” 

The singer went on to address the mass shootings that have been taking place in the U.S. She said, “It is devastating. People are being murdered by war weapons that they legally purchase. This is just not normal. That should never, ever be normal. And the fact that it’s classified as something different because of the color of their skin? It’s a slap in the face. It’s completely racist.” 

Rih has even put the pregnancy rumors to rest. When asked by Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, “Do you hope to have a baby soon?,” Rihanna replied, “I don’t think about stuff like that, but … I don’t know. God’s plan, but I look forward to all of the pregnancy rumors after this interview.”

JUSTIN BIEBER WANTS KIDS SOON: Justin and Hailey Bieber just got married (for the second time) a few days ago, but he’s hitting up social media alluding to his desire for kids. He posted a video of a father playing with a young child, captioning it: “This is something I look forward to :).” (The Blast)  

MILEY CYRUS REFERS TO CODEY SIMPSON AS HER ‘BF’: 
It’s official. People reports that Miley Cyrus referred to singer Codey Simpson as her “BF” in an Instagram Story.  Cyrus spent Tuesday night (October 8th) in the hospital having her tonsils removed according to her post, Simpson showed up to serenade her.  The “Party in the U.S.A” singer wrote, “Suddenly I’m feeling much better.  This sweeeeeet guy came to visit and the hospital and sang the sweeeeeetest song he wrote just for me.” She also hinted that the full song may be released to public sometime soon. 

HAMILTON’S DAVEED DIGGS IN TALKS TO PLAY SEBASTIAN: Disney’s The Little Mermaid is in talks with Daveed Diggs to take on the role of Sebastian in its live-action remake. Halle Bailey will play Ariel, while Melissa McCarthy will take on Ursula and Javier Bardem will portray King Triton. 

TWITTER LOVES SOPHIE TURNER’S RANT AGAINST INFLUENCER LIFE – (10/10/2019)

Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner is the latest Hollywood star to slam influencers for promoting unhealthy products on social media and setting ridiculous standards for beauty.

Turner took to Instagram and shared a filtered shot of herself with enhanced rosy cheeks and enlarged lips. The 23-year-old said: “Today I just wanted to promote this new powdered stuff that you put in your teeth, and basically it makes you sh*t your brains out and is totally really really bad for me to be promoting to young women and young people everywhere. But I don’t really give a f*ck because I’m getting paid money. Influencer life!”

This comes a month after Instagram rolled out stricter rules regarding weight loss products or cosmetic procedures. Under the new rules, if a post promotes something with a price tag affixed to it, viewers younger than 18 would be prohibited from viewing the post. They are also banning content promising over-the-top “miraculous” transformations. 

Jameela Jamil, who has been very critical, helped Instagram craft the new policy.

TOM HOLLAND CUTS HIS HAIR, TWITTER MELTS DOWN – (10/09/2019)

Twitter has so many feelings, sometimes it’s hard to keep track of them. But one thing’s clear: fans are not here for Tom Holland’s new ’do. When the Spider-Man star’s newly shorn locks debuted, fans went into panic mode. 

The news was shared when a shot Tom saying sending a message to a fan called Sabrina dropped. The message was shared with the simple but uncompromising caption: “TOM HOLLAND IS HAIRLESS NOOOOO,” and everyone seemed to agree. 

Fans compared his new look to Eminem, Caillou (ouch) and Justin Timberlake. And thanks to Twitter investigators who were ready to pour over recent shots of him, the shorning was recent. As it turns out, his hair was cut for a Cherry, directed by the Russo brothers, co-starring Bill Skarsgard, and currently in production.  

Per IMBD, Cherry centers around “an army medic suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder” who “becomes a serial bank robber after an addiction to drugs puts him in debt.”

DRAKE’S DAD ACCUSES HIM OF USING THEIR RELATIONSHIP TO SELL RECORDS – (10/09/2019)

Drake’s father, Dennis Graham, says that his son is using their relationship to sell records. During a recent radio interview, Drake’s dad weighed in on some of the stories the rapper has told in is music, saying that the stories were exaggerated. He said, “I have always been with Drake. I said, ‘Drake why are you saying all of this different stuff about me, man? This is not cool.’ And he goes ‘Dad, it sells records.’” 

Graham went on to say that he exposed Drake to the good and bad the life has to offer. He continued, “I took Drake down through there so to speak. I exposed him to every aspect of life. I never hid anything from him… I showed him this side of life. I showed him that side of life.” 

Drake has since taken to social media to address his father’s comments. The rapper said, “Woke up today so hurt man. My father will say anything to anyone that’s willing to listen to him. It’s sad when family gets like this but what can we really do that’s the people we are stuck with … every bar I ever spit was the truth and the truth is hard for some people to accept.”

JUSTIN BIEBER HINTS AT ‘VERY SPECIAL NIGHT’ IN THE STUDIO – (10/09/2019)

Justin Bieber continues to hint at the impending arrival of new music. The singer tweeted early Tuesday morning (October 8th), “Finished something very special in the studio tonight,” although he did not elaborate further on just what the thing was or why it was so special.

On Monday (October 7th), Bieber suggested in an Instagram story that a new album and single could arrive before the end of 2019. Bieber’s last LP, Purpose, arrived in 2015.

Bieber says in the video, “I’m putting out an album this year!” Another voice from offscreen — possibly that of new wife Hailey Bieber — asks, “this year meaning before 2020?” Justin then wonders, “Should I put out an album this year?” His wife responds, “I thought you already were doing it this year.” He then says, “You just wanna split it? Album by the end of this year, another song coming out . . . soon.”

No other information is available on Bieber’s fifth studio album. He recently appeared on a new single from country duo Dan + Shay called “10,000 Hours” that arrived earlier this month.

Justin Bieber‘s wife Hailey Baldwin has apologized for doing a video reeanactment of Taylor Swift post-surgery banana freakout. Jimmy Fallon aired the original video of the singer going off about not picking out the banana she wanted following her LASIK eye surgery. Then the Biebers put their own spin on the clip on an IG Live story. In the story, Beiber can be seen in the kitchen playfull calling out,  “it’s not the banana that I wanted.”

Baldwin laughed and responded, “That was so funny.” Then Bieber added, “It’s not the right banana — it has no head!”

After being criticized by one of Taylor’s fans, Baldwin responded, saying, “I never knew I could make somebody so upset. Truly I’m so sorry you’re THIS upset?! Lord have mercy I hope I’m never this upset about someone I don’t know!!”

She continued, “Listen. I think it’s awesome how passionate you are and how hard you ride for someone you’re a fan of, it’s beautiful how dedicated you are. If there’s something I did to personally hurt you or offend you I’m sorry, it’s not my intention to upset you by any means but being angry at someone you don’t know does nothing for you.”

She added, “I know cause I been there.. all it’s gonna do is make you miserable. Don’t let ME of all people get you feeling that way. Trust me, I’m not worth the energy, nobody should be worth that energy.”

ALEX TREBEK SAYS HE MAY HAVE TO QUIT JEOPARDY!: Alex Trebek is working as host of Jeopardy! despite his cancer diagnosis, but he recently told CTV News that he will stay on the job “as long as my skills do not diminish.” And when the time comes, the 79-year-old says he’s ready: “I’m not afraid of dying. I’ve lived a good life, a full life, and I’m nearing the end of that life … if it happens, why should I be afraid of that?”

JENNIFER LOPEZ SUED FOR POSTING PAPARAZZI PIC OF HERSELF & A-ROD – (10/08/2019)

Jennifer Lopez is being sued for copyright infringement by photo agency Splash News over a picture she posted of herself and fiance Alex Rodgriguez on Instagram. According to The Blast and E! News, court docs say that Splash News and Picture Agency are suing the actress and singer for $150,000 and they have claimed that they are the owners and the exclusive copyright holders of the photo she shared in an Instagram Story two years back.

The docs say that “Specifically, Lopez or someone acting on her behalf copied the Photograph and distributed it on Instagram, via the @jlo account, on a story posted November 7, 2017.”

The photo agency continued, “This is an action for copyright infringement brought by plaintiff, the holder of the copyright to the photograph described below, against defendant for use of plaintiff’s photograph without authorization or permission.”

The photo agency claimed in the docs that Lopez had been notified of her infringment in a letter to her representative date December 12, 2017.

In addition to the $150,000, Splash News and Picture Agency are seeking an injunction against Lopez and her team to stop them from posting the photo in the future.

JUSTIN BIEBER’S MOM OPENS UP ABOUT DAUGHTER-IN-LAW HAILEY BALDWIN – (10/07/2019)

Justin Bieber’s mom Pattie Mallette has opened up about her daughter-in-law Hailey Baldwin, calling her a beautiful bride. She commented on her son’s Instagram page, “You have truly beven blesses with a BEAUTIFUL bride, son. INSIDE AND OUT! I don’t think I could have picked a better match for you.”

She added, “You are a gift to each other. I am grateful and consistently humbled by the love and blessings of God over you both. My mamas heart is full.”

On September 30th, a little more than a year after the two tied the knot at an NYC courthouse, the couple celebrated with a large ceremony with family and friends in Bluffton, South Carolina. 

JUSTIN CLAPS BACK AT PETA

In other news, Bieber clapped back at PETA for calling him out for spending $35,000 on two part exotic cats. He wrote via IG, “PETA, go focus on real problems. Like poaching, and animal brutality. Ur tripping because I want a specific kind of cat? U weren’t tripping when I got my dog Oscar and he wasn’t a rescue…every pet we get must be a rescue?”

He added, “I believe in adopting rescues but also think there are preferences and that’s what breeders are for. PETA, go help with all the plastic in the ocean and leave my beautiful cats alone @kittysushiandtuna.”

PETA president Ingrid Newkirk clapped back, saying that Biebs should think deeper about the issue. She said, “When millions of animal are losing lives every year because not enough people adopt — choosing instead to shop — the animal overpopulation crisis is a real problem.”

MILEY CYRUS SPOTTED MAKING OUT WITH CODY SIMPSON – (10/07/2019)

It looks like Miley Cyrus has moved on Kaitlynn Carter already. According to TMZ, someone snapped a photo of Miley making out with Australian singer Cody Simpson at a Backyard Bowls eatery in LA. 

Miley addressed the photo, saying, “Can a girl not get a f*cking açaí bowl and a morning make out session in peace?  

Miley and Cody were rumored to be dating back in 2014. 

MILEY CYRUS GOES OFF ON SLUT SHAMERS

After being criticized for moving on to Simpson, Miley released a statement via Twitter to her haters. She wrote, “I know the public feels invested in my past relationship because they felt like they saw it thru from the beginning/I think that’s why people have always felt so entitled over my life and how I live it because they’ve watched me grow up. But I am grown now and make choices as an adult knowing the truth/details/reality. People only ‘know’ what they see on the internet.”

She continued, “Men (especially successful ones) are RARELY slut shamed. They move on from one beautiful young woman to the next MOST times without consequence. THE REAL REASON MILEY CYRUS AND KAITLYNN CARTER BROKE UP

Meanwhile, sources have revealed that the real reason Miley Cyrus and Kaitlynn Carter broke up was because things were moving too fast. According to TMZ, sources say that the two women “got along like a house on fire,” and they were living together and even talking about marriage. 

However, as things got intense, Miley realized she wasn’t ready to jump back into another relationship so fast after separating from hubby Liam Hemsworth.

KYLIE JENNER AND TYGA SPOTTED AGAIN – (10/07/2019)

A day after news broke that Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott split, Kylie was photographed visiting her ex Tyga’s recording studio late night. When the inevitable rumors began to swirl, Kylie came out hard on Twitter denying a rekindled relationship, but to the bemusement of the masses, referred to Travis as a “friend.”

Since the denial last week, she was spotted out again with Tyga in L.A. at Hyde Lounge. Granted, the pair arrived separately Saturday, per reports, and her sister Khloe Kardashian was there as well. And speaking of potentially awkward run-ins, Khloe’s ex Lamar Odom was there with his girlfriend Sabrina Parr.

KYLIE JENNER DENIES RUMORS THAT SHE’S DATING TYGA – (10/04/2019)

Kylie Jenner is trying to set the record straight on her much buzzed-about split from Travis Scott. The pair have reportedly been broken up for a few weeks, and while the news officially broke this week, the 22-year-old billionaire has already been linked with longtime family friend Jaden Smith and her ex Tyga. 

ICYMI, Jaden was photographed with his hand near her butt at Hailey and Justin Bieber’s wedding, and she was spotted close to the studio Tyga was recording at Wednesday night. Twitter went bananas over both incidents. 

Others speculate that the breakup is just a big PR stunt to juice ratings for Keeping Up With the Kardashians and set the stage for Travis’s new music release this Friday. Jenner has clearly seen the speculation, and issued a tart tweet saying the pair are doing just fine thanks, and focused on their daughter, Stormi. 

Jenner tweeted Thursday: “Travis and i are on great terms and our main focus right now is Stormi!! Our friendship and our daughter is priority.”

She continued: “The internet makes everything 100 times more dramatic than what it really is. There was no ‘2am date with Tyga’. You see me drop two of my friends off at a studio that he happened to be at.”

On Instagram, Kylie has been posting sexy selfies and generally appearing to live her best life. Some of her Insta Stories though, appear to be throwing shade at Travis. In one song, Kylie can be heard singing to the cam:

JUSTIN BIEBER RECEIVES BACKLASH FROM PETA AFTER SPENDING $35K ON TWO PART EXOTIC KITTENS – (10/04/2019)

Justin Bieber is being slammed by PETA after spending $35,000 on two part exotic kittens. Bieber named the Savannah kittens Sushi and Tuna. In a statement to People, PETA Senior Vice President Lisa Lange said, “Baby, baby, baby, nooooooo. Justin Bieber could inspire his fans around the world to save a life by adopting a cat from a local animal shelter — rather than fueling the dangerous demand for hybrid cats, contributing to the animal overpopulation crisis, and proving that when it comes to helping animals, his stance so far is ‘I don’t care.’”

Bieber has yet to directly address the backlash, but on Thursday night (October 3rd) he posted a screenshot of the Instagram account he created for Sushi and Tuna on his stories, asking fans to follow the account.

‘MEAN GIRLS’ DO GOOD – (10/04/2019)

Mean Girls fans know October 3rd is the movie’s unofficial holiday. In the movie, Aaron Samuels (Jonathan Bennett) asks Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan) if she knows what day it is. “It’s October 3,” she replies. 

Ever since, cast-members and fans have turned the day into a cause for celebration, being nice and binge-watching the classic. 

GIVING BACK

15 years after the movie’s release, Bennett and cast-mates are asking fans to donate $3 to the Thirst Project, which will help build a well in Uganda and bring safe drinking water to a village. 

“So, we all know Cady was from Africa,” Lohan says in an Instagram video shared Thursday. “But this year, we want to help [with] building a well in Uganda.”

Amanda Seyfried, who plays Karen Smith, says “that well will bring fresh drinking water to nearly 500 people for the rest of their lives.”

Lacey Chabert (Gretchen Wieners), Daniel Franzese (Damian), Lizzy Caplan (Janis Ian), Rajiv Surendra(Kevin Gnapoor), Jan Caruana (Emma Gerber) and Stefanie Drummond (Bethany Byrd) also showed support for the initiative.

Meanwhile, cast-member Tina Fey and super-fan Busy Philipps hosted a special live-stream screening of the movie on Facebook in partnership with Paramount Pictures and the Broadway adaptation of the film.

Justin Timberlake was tackled by a notorious prankster when he arrived for the Louis Vuitton show at Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday.

The 38-year-old singer was confused when serial prankster Vitalii Sediuk lunged to the ground and grabbed him by the leg, refusing to let go as Justin made his way into the venue for the fashion house’s 2020 collection with his wife Jessica Biel on his arm.

Timberlake attempted to shake off Vitalii before his security guards jumped in and managed to pull him free.

This incident came just hours after Gigi Hadid was forced to escort YouTuber Marie Benoliel off the catwalk after she invaded the Chanel show when she climbed onto the runway dressed in a houndstooth two-piece at Grand Palais.

Over the years, Sediuk has gained a reputation for his outlandish pranks on red carpets all over the world including Moscow, Los Angeles, Paris and France. He even crashed the 2013 Grammy Awards, jumping up on stage beside Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull as they were presenting an award to Adele.

Sediuk claims he hopes his antics lead event organizers to reconsider their security procedures, as well as stars to be more cautious when talking to fans.

Rumors are swirling about why and when Kylie Jenner, 22, and Travis Scott, 28, split, and what happens next. The pair reportedly split after more than two years together; they share their daughter Stormi.

Kylie and Travis will reportedly share custody of 20-month-old Stormi. A source tells Us Weekly: “It will be 50/50, but it’s not a point of contention. It’s really whatever is best for Stormi. Travis knows what an incredible mom Kylie is and will make whatever situation work.”

Another insider adds, “Travis still has a lot of love for Kylie and respects her as a mom. He will be very involved in Stormi’s life.”

FULL BREAKUP?

Insiders also say the breakup may only be temporary. “Kylie and Travis have been on and off at various times throughout their relationship,” a source explained to Us. “Kylie still loves Travis and this isn’t considered a full breakup to either of them.”

Another insider went on to tell Us, “They have had breaks throughout their relationship. He has been spending a lot of time at his Beverly Hills house and she’s been staying in Calabasas, so they didn’t have a traditional relationship in terms of spending the night together every night. This is not a traditional relationship, but they have been very much in love.”

And while Kylie has only been officially single for a day or so, speculation about who she’s dating now is already rampant. This weekend, she attended the wedding of Hailey and Justin Bieber, and she was spotted dancing with longtime pal Jaden Smith; TMZ published a pic that seems to show Jaden touching her rear end, and Twitter is full freaking out.

DOCTORS WARN ABOUT KIM KARDASHIAN’S WAIST TRAINERS: Kim Kardashian has debuted her new SKIMS waist trainer, and it sold out in every size in less than 24 hours. While the trainer claims to “instantly erase inches,” doctors tell Page Six that they may want to think twice. “While they seem like a quick and easy fix, waist trainers don’t actually burn fat or make you lose weight, and there can be a lot of harmful side effects,” Dena Barsoum, MD, board-certified physiatrist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Hospital for Special Surgery, told Page Six Style. “There’s a reason our bodies have the shape that they do. According to U.K.’s The Sun, following her split from husband Simon Konecki in April, Adele has been dating British rapper Skepta. They’ve reportedly been chatting regularly and have been on a number of dates. Adele also celebrated the rapper’s 37th birthday during a night out in London less than two weeks ago. “Adele and Skepta have been there for each other a lot after both their relationships split up,” a source tells The Sun. “They have a close bond and there’s definitely a special connection.” The two musicians both hail from the Tottenham section of London and have known each other for years. Back in 2016, Adele tweeted a photo of Skepta and captioned it, “Tottenham Boy” alongside a heart emoji. He retweeted it and wrote “love you.”

KYLIE JENNER AND TRAVIS SCOTT TO SHARE CUSTODY OF STORMI POST-SPLIT: Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner have split after two years together, but will share 50/50 custody of their daughter Stormi, The Blast reports. Sources say the pair has been “been drifting apart for a while, they tried hard to make it work but ultimately they need to take some time apart.” (The Blast) 

KENDALL JENNER BRINGS DATE TO WEDDING, BUT THEY’RE NOT DATING: The ultra-private Kendall Jenner brought a date to Hailey and Justin Bieber’s second wedding Monday night, but she insisted they’re not together. DAN REYNOLDS & WIFE WELCOME BABY BOY VALENTINE – (10/02/2019)

Imagine Dragons’ Dan Reynolds and his wife Aja Volkman have welcomed their fourth child, a boy named Valentine.

“Born this morning on October 1st – ‪Valentine Reynolds,” Dan posted on Instagram. “The name Valentine means ‘strong.’ As today marks the 2nd anniversary of our most tragic day in Vegas, it now also represents the day that we celebrate the birth of new life. We are truly feeling #vegasstrong today.”

Two years ago, a gunman opened fire at the Route 91 Harvest music festival on the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada, killing dozens of innocent lives.

The couple also share twins Gia James and Coco Rae, 2, and big sister Arrow Eve, 7.

MATT DAMON OPENS UP ABOUT TURNING DOWN $250M – (10/02/2019)

Matt Damon turned down $250 million to play the lead in Avatar, he reveals to British GQ in their latest cover story. 

“Jim Cameron offered me Avatar,” he tells the magazine. “And when he offered it to me, he goes, ‘Now, listen. I don’t need anybody. I don’t need a name for this, a named actor. If you don’t take this, I’m gonna find an unknown actor and give it to him, because the movie doesn’t really need you. But if you take the part, I’ll give you 10 percent of…'”

According to GQ, that would have added up to $250 million. The role eventually went to Sam Worthington. 

And yes, he does admit that he regrets passing on the role, which has four sequels in the works. 

“So, yeah. I’ve left more money on the table than any actor, actually,” he admits. “I mean, the bigger thing still to this day, my bigger regret is — it would have caused a problem for Paul Greengrass and for all my friends on The Bourne Ultimatum, so I couldn’t do it — but Cameron said to me in the course of that conversation, ‘Well, you know, I’ve only made six movies.’ I didn’t realize that.” 

He continued: “He works so infrequently, but his movies, you know all of them. So it feels like he’s made more than he has. I realized in having to say no that I was probably passing on the chance to ever work with him. So that sucked and that’s still brutal. But my kids are all eating. I’m doing OK.”

Damon can next be seen in Le Mans ’66, co-starring Christian Bale.
