TAYLOR SWIFT SLAMS SCOOTER BRAUN FOR BUYING HER MUSIC CATALOG – (07/01/2019)

Music executive Scooter Braun just acquired Big Machine Label Group, the record company that owns Taylor Swift’s music, and Swift is not happy.

In a scathing Tumblr post Sunday, Taylor writes she is “sad and grossed out” that her music catalog now belongs to Braun, who she accuses of subjecting her to years of incessant and manipulative bullying, referencing clashes with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. “This is my worst case scenario,” Swift writes.

Braun’s Ithaca Holdings announced Sunday that it is acquiring Big Machine, which released all of Swift’s studio albums and owns her masters, as part of a $300 million deal. Swift says she learned of the sale Sunday. Swift left Big Machine and signed with Universal Music Group in November because she says she knew that re-signing with the group that had managed her since she was 15 would only result in her not owning her future work.

“I walked away because I knew once I signed that contract, Scott Borchetta (founder of BMLG) would sell the label, thereby selling me and my future,” she wrote. “I made peace with the fact that eventually he would sell them,” she wrote. “Never in my worst nightmares did I imagine the buyer would be Scooter.”Braun, she alleges, got two clients, including Justin Bieber, to bully her online about a leaked and illegally recorded snippet of a phone call she had with Kardashian. She also references when West, a Braun client, organized a “revenge porn music video which strips my body naked.”

She writes that now Braun has “stripped her” of her life’s work that she “wasn’t given an opportunity to buy.” “My musical legacy is about to lie in the hands of someone who tried to dismantle it,” she writes.

In a statement posted Sunday night on the Big Machine Label Group’s website, Borchetta said he told Swift’s father, Scott Swift, and other shareholders on June 25th of the upcoming deal with Ithaca Holdings. Borchetta said he texted Taylor about the deal on Saturday “to inform her prior to the story breaking on the morning of Sunday, June 30th so she could hear it directly from me.”

“I guess it might somehow be possible that her dad Scott, 13 Management lawyer Jay Schaudies (who represented Scott Swift on the shareholder calls) or 13 Management executive and Big Machine LLC shareholder Frank Bell (who was on the shareholder calls) didn’t say anything to Taylor over the prior 5 days. I guess it’s possible that she might not have seen my text. But, I truly doubt that she ‘woke up to the news when everyone else did,’” Borchetta said.

Borchetta also provided a screenshot of what he says is the last contractual offer he made to Taylor for her to stay with Big Machine before she decided to leave the label and sign with Universal Music Group, which she did in November of last year. As Borchetta notes, the contract shows that “100% of all Taylor Swift assets were to be transferred to her immediately upon signing the new agreement.”  That included her back catalog. Borchetta added, “Taylor had every chance in the world to own not just her master recordings, but every video, photograph, everything associated to her career. She chose to leave.”

Borchetta also noted that Braun invited Taylor to perform at his client Ariana Grande’s massive One Love Manchester charity concert in June, 2017 following the Manchester, England terrorist bombing, and says she declined. He also claims Taylor turned down Braun’s invitation to participate in the “Parkland March” –referring to the “March for Our Lives” gun control demonstration that took place in March of 2018. Borchetta ends his post with: “And, that’s the truth…”

Bieber responded in an Instagram post late Sunday apologizing for hurting her at the time, and also defending Braun who he says, “didn’t have anything to do with it” and has her back. “For you to take it to social media and get people to hate on (S)cooter isn’t fair,” Bieber wrote.

Braun’s wife, Yael Cohen, also chimed in on Instagram refuting Swift’s claim that she found out the news with the rest of the world. “Your dad is a shareholder and was notified and Borchetta personally told you before this came out,” Cohen alleges. “My husband is anything but a Bully.”

Swift ended her post looking to the future and says she thankfully “signed to a label that believes I should own anything I create.” She also advocates for artist ownership of songs and hopes that the next generation will “read this and learn about how to better protect themselves in a negotiation.” “I will always be proud of my past work,” she added, making sure to also plug her new album, Lover which will be released on August 23rd.

Since her post on Tumblr went up on Sunday, a number of artists have sided with Taylor. Among them is Halsey, who shared a lengthy post explaining why Swift inspired her to write her own music.

“Taylor Swift is a huge reason why I always insisted to write my own music,” she wrote. “I believed if she did it (in a way that made my teeth ache like cold water and my heart swell and my eyes leak) than I should too.”

Selena Gomez’s mother, Mandy Teefey, also weighed in, reposting an image of Swift’s post along with some strong words of encouragement. “I wish I could give you a big hug right now!” she wrote. “Thank you for speaking out about this and teaching future young artist about protecting themselves. I don’t understand the pleasure of power plays to simply hurt people! To deny you the option to own your blood, sweat and tears, especially as a young women who shared growing up in front of the world, is heartbreaking!! XO!!

Additionally, Nicki Minaj, Miley Cyrus, Lana Del Rey, Selena Gomez, Rihanna and Adele have all supposedly unfollowed Braun on social media in the hours since Swift shared her post. Ariana Grande quietly deleted her post congratulating him on acquiring Big Machine Records.

Demi Lovato took to her Instagram story to stand up for Braun – although without going so far as to slam Swift’s post or her comments.

“I have dealt with bad people in this industry and Scooter is not one of them. He’s a good man. Personally, I’m grateful he came into my life when he did. Please stop ‘dragging’ people or bullying them. There’s enough hate in this world as it is,” Lovato wrote, adding in a following post, “Y’all can come after me all you want but I’m always gonna stay loyal to my team. I value loyalty more than most people in this world and if my name is gonna be brought into conversations I’m gonna stand up for myself and the ones on my team.”

Since Swift’s post, a petition has appeared on Change.org, which suggests the singer should rerelease her first six albums under Republic Records, effectively cutting out Braun. At press time, the petition had over 94,000 signatures, supposedly including Katy Perry.

CARDI B PLEADS NOT GUILTY IN STRIP CLUB BRAWL CASE – (06/26/2019)

Cardi B has pled not guilty to the charges against her in her strip club brawl case. According to Page Six, the Bronx rapper arrived at the Queens Supreme Court, wearing a pink and navy blue double-breasted paint suit. She pled not guilty to two felony charges of attempted assault, plus additional misdemeanor charges.

In the courtroom, Cardi told the judge, “Not guilty, sir, honor.” 

Cardi’s attorney also spoke on his client, saying, “I know Cardi on a personal level, I know Cardi as a wife, as a mother, as a daughter, as a sister. It’ll ultimately be a positive outcome in favor of Cardi.” 

As previously reported, Cardi’s charges stem from an August 2018 brawl at Angels Strip Club in Queens, which involved two bartender sisters, Rachel Wattley and Sarah Wattley aka Jade and Baddie Gi.

In other news, Cardi is reportedly seeking an additional $15 million from her ex-manager, Klenord “Shaft” Raphael. According to The Blast, Cardi has amended her ongoing lawsuit with her former manager, whom she accused of mismanagement. The rapper initially countersued for $15 million in damages. However, she is now seeking $10 million in compensatory damages and $20 million in punitive damages, doubling the amount she originally asked for. Cardi claims that Shaft led her to believe that her interests were being protected, but says they were not. She is asking for the lawsuit against her to be dismissed, and for her countersuit to continue.

DEMI LOVATO’S NEW ALBUM WILL TELL HER ‘SIDE OF THE STORY’ – (06/26/2019)

Demi Lovato opened up about what fans can expect from her new album, revealing she’s going to tell her “side of the story” following her overdose last year.

The singer took to her Instagram Stories to share details about her next record and why she doesn’t care if people don’t like what she has to say.

“You know what’s great about making an album?” Lovato wrote. “You get to say anything you want, be as open and honest as possible and tell your side of the story regardless of who might not like it.”

The 25-year-old’s album update comes just one week after she teased new music on Instagram by posting a selfie from a recording studio and captioning it, “Making magic.”

In May, the Demi revealed that she will be working with manager Scooter Braun for her next project.

LIL NAS X PLANNING A MILEY CYRUS COLLABORATION? – (06/26/2019)

It looks like Black Mirror character Ashley O. is a big Lil Nas X fan.

After working with Billy Ray Cyrus on his hit “Old Town Road,” which has topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 12 weeks, Lil Nas X may be moving on to the younger Cyrus generation. The rapper posted a video of himself with Miley Cyrus, who’s singing along to his latest single, “Panini.” In the clip, Miley is wearing her Ashley O purple wig. “Ashley O loves Panini,” Lil Nas X captioned the video.

Miley plays a pop star named Ashley O in an episode of the new season of Black Mirror, streaming now on Netflix.

Fans predictably went crazy for the video, begging for the two artists to work together.

“The world needs this collab,” wrote one.

“LIL NAS ft. ASHLEY O PLEASE,” wrote another.

“Ashley O x Lil Nas in panini remix gonna save 2019 music,” added yet another.

ARIANA GRANDE IS HEADING TO ‘THE PROM’ WITH MERYL STREEP: Ariana Grande and Meryl Streep are among the star-studded cast on board for Ryan Murphy’s Netflix adaptation of the Tony-nominated musical, The Prom. SEBASTIAN MANISCALCO ANNOUNCED AS HOST MTV VMAS 2019: Sebastian Maniscalco has been announced as the host for the upcoming 2019 MTV Video Music Awards. The show will be held in New Jersey for the first time ever, taking place on August 26th at the Prudential Center in Newark. Sebastian is a comedian who has sold out shows at Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall. He was named Billboard’s Comedian of the Year in 2018 and published his book Stay Hungry last year.

‘TOY STORY 4’ TOPS THE BOX OFFICE WITH $118 MILLION OPENING WEEKEND: Toy Story 4 topped the box office this weekend with an $118 million opening. According to studio estimates, the film ranks as the fourth highest animated film opening ever. Above it are 2018′s Incredibles 2 ($182 million), 2016′s Finding Dory ($135 million), and 2007′s Shrek the Third ($121 million). It’s the year’s third largest debut, trailing only a pair of other Disney releases: Avengers: Endgame and Captain Marvel.

CHRISTINA AGUILERA REFLECTS ON THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF DEBUT SINGLE ‘GENIE IN A BOTTLE’ – (06/24/2019)

Christina Aguilera posted a tribute to her debut single, “Genie In A Bottle,” on its 20th anniversary on Saturday.

Alongside the artwork for her debut album, on which “Genie in a Bottle” was the lead single, she wrote: “Hi lovies! Today marks 20 years since #GenieInABottle was released… got me feeling all types of emotional!” At just 18 years old, I remember coming home from Japan and seeing that it had reached #1 on the Billboard charts and feeling so grateful and happy that you guys loved it as much as I did. Thank you thank you thank you for riding with me all these years. My fighters, I love you! 💋💋💋 #xxtina.”

Aguilera also relayed some interesting facts about the recording of the song, including that it was made in a tiny home studio and that she shot the scene on a beach in Malibu, in which she rocks a crop top and shorts, in “freezing” weather.

“OG dance clip. I can’t even…” she also tweeted, alongside a short video. In the video, Aguilera is seen perfecting her classic “Genie” moves and even showing off an impressive split.

“Genie in a Bottle” ultimately sold over seven million copies worldwide, was certified platinum in the United States and topped the Billboard Hot 100 charts. While Aguilera’s first career single was technically “Reflections,” from the 1998 soundtrack to the Disney film Mulan, it was “Genie in a Bottle” that landed her on the charts, made her a fixture on MTV’s Total Request Live, and began her ascendance to super stardom.

She recently kicked off her career-spanning Xperience residency in Las Vegas at the Zappos Theater inside Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

CARDI B INDICTED ON 14 CHARGES IN CONNECTION TO STRIP CLUB FIGHT – (06/24/2019)

TMZ reported on Friday (June 21st) that Cardi B has been indicted by a grand jury on 14 charges in connection to a New York strip club incident. The Bronx rapper’s charges include misdemeanor reckless endangerment, criminal solicitation, conspiracy, harassment, and assault, as well as two counts of felony attempted assault with intent to cause serious physical injury. It was previously reported that Cardi rejected a plea deal related to the incident, where she was allegedly involved in a fight at a Queens strip club with two sisters. 

Cardi was arrested back in October for allegedly ordering an attack on bartender sisters, Rachel Wattley and Sarah Wattley aka Jade and Baddie Gi, during the August incident at Angels Strip Club. The women claim that they were injured when Cardi’s people threw bottles, chairs and a hookah after the rapper accused Jade of sleeping with Offset.

She was originally charged with two misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment and one misdemeanor account of assault, but the charges were overthrown by the grand jury indictment. 

Cardi has since slammed TMZ’s report of her indictment. According to Complex, in an Instagram post, which has since been deleted, Cardi took aim at Harvey Levin because apparently, her specific charges were not supposed to be revealed until her arraignment next week, per a ABC News report. Cardi called Levin a “wrinkle fake tan b*tch” and criticized the handling of her “misdemeanor court case” by the court and media alike. She wrote, “I never did jail time ,I don’t have NO CRIMINAL RECORD but they want to drag this case because they want fame and they want press .Waste people tax money on a bullsh*t case a MISDEMEANOR CASE. I don’t understand how I been to court 6 times for a misdemeanor a f**king MISDEMEANOR and now you try to upgraded to a FELONY E the lowest of the low cause I refuse to agree to ya terms !!!”

Cardi continued, “The prosecutors are in meetings talking about ‘she hangs with’ gang members’ but ya don’t MY CLEAN A** RECORD , talk about all the private donations I gave that are in my bank statements, the charity events I perform for or how I got the keys for MARLBORO ,Brooklyn that my ‘Gang member ‘ friends arranged to give out coats something you white motherf**kers don’t do for the community.Ya don’t do sh*t to better the community but harass and oppress !”

On a lighter note, Cardi is the first female rapper to be awarded with Songwriter of the Year at ASCAP’s 34th annual Rhythm & Soul Music Awards. According to Billboard, Cardi said in her acceptance speech, “Sometimes I gotta see it and feel it myself. Everybody always wants to say I made it because of this or made it because of that. I made it because I worked my a** off … Thank you very much, ASCAP. This is an honor for me.”

Nicki Minaj had some not-so-nice things to say about Miley Cyrus on the latest episode of her Queen Radio show on Apple Music. During the episode, Nicki called Miley a Perdue chicken and seemingly referred to the singer’s new song, “Cattitude,” where she said that she prefers to listen to Cardi B over Nicki. The Queens rapper said, [“A Perdue chicken can never talk sh*t about Queen. But I do notice a lot of Perdue chickens recently have been trying to say a queen’s name for clout, and that’s always been happening—and that’s what she did in the first place. And then she cried, you know, the White girl cry and made Black girls seem like she was a bad guy. In the first place, she disrespected me in a magazine article for no reason… I had just seen her after she was sucking Mike WiLL’s d*ck in the studio. Elsewhere on the episode, Nicki revealed that she is getting married to boyfriend, Kenneth Petty. She made the announcement saying, “We did get our marriage license.” She also spoke on plans to have a family, “I’m not saying I’m pregnant. That’s the end goal.” 

She continued about Petty, “I think I have what I was striving for, just happiness. It was so hard to get to a happy place. Now that I’m there I don’t want to compromise that for anyone of anything. Certain traveling things I don’t wanna do it. I’m just enjoying my downtime.”

ED SHEERAN CAN KEEP PUB SIGNS – (06/21/2019)

Ed Sheeran has been granted permission to keep the pub sign he erected in tribute to his wife.

Sheeran failed to apply for planning permission to add a 16ft sign bearing the words “The Lancaster Lock” in honor of his spouse, Cherry Lancaster Seaborn to a barn he converted into a bar on the grounds of his East Suffolk estate. He had to make a retrospective bid after a complaint was made.

East Suffolk council have now approved the application after agreeing the signs cause “no harm.” They found the boards were not illuminated, would not affect neighboring properties, and were not “readily visible from outside the enclosed land.”

Sheeran f was previously denied a request to build a private chapel – where he planned to marry Cherry – within the grounds and in March, objections were raised about his wildlife pond because neighbors were worried he would use it as a swimming pool.

A set of steps and a jetty have been installed on the pond, sparking concern but East Suffolk council approved the installation as it is to be used “to enable access to the pond in the event of maintenance and emergency.”

Sheeran has made a number of other renovations to his historic property, including installing an underground “man cave” with a music room and cinema beneath the grounds of his farmhouse.

SHAWN MENDES AND CARLY RAE JEPSEN UP FOR CANADA’S POLARIS MUSIC PRIZE – (06/21/2019)

Shawn Mendes and Carly Rae Jepsen are up for this year’s Polaris Music Prize, Canada’s prestigious award for album of the year.

Shawn’s 2018 self-titled album and Carly Rae’s new release Dedicated are among the 40 albums to make the long list. A jury of music journalists, bloggers, broadcasters and other music media will whittle that down to a 10-album short list, which will be announced on July 16th.

The winning album, judged solely on its artistic merit, will be announced at the Polaris gala on September 16th at Toronto’s The Carlu and will be live streamed on CBCMusic.ca/Polaris.

The winner gets $50,000. The other nine artists in the top 10 will each receive $3,000.

Last year’s Polaris Prize was awarded to Jeremy Dutcher for his album Wolastoqiyik Lintuwakonawa. Previous winners of the award include Arcade Fire, Tanya Tagaq, Kaytranada, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Feist, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Lido Pimienta, and Caribou.

PRINCE HARRY AND MEGHAN MARKLE OFFICIALLY SPLIT FROM PRINCE WILLIAM AND KATE MIDDLETON – (06/21/2019)

Kensington Palace confirms the long-rumored reports that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have left the Royal Foundation, which Harry and Prince William started a decade ago, and Kate Middleton and Meghan joined after marrying them.

Kensington Palace released a statement: “The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex has today announced the conclusions of a review into its structure, and how it will best support Their Royal Highnesses with future charitable activity.

Later this year, the Foundation will become the principal charitable and philanthropic vehicle for Kate and William, and Meghan and Harry will establish their own endeavor with initial operation support from the Foundation.

The Palace added: “both couples will continue to work together on projects in the future, including on The Foundation’s mental health program, Heads Together.”

Tabloid reports have been predicting this for months, as rumors of a “royal feud” continue.

He is donating $1,109.14 to “Alex Trebek and all the other survivors” for the 2019 Naperville Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk in Naperville, Ill. The walk raises money for pancreatic cancer. Jeopardy! host Trebek, 78, revealed he had stage 4 pancreatic cancer in March.

‘AVENGERS’ LEADS ‘TEEN CHOICE AWARDS’ NOMINATIONS WITH NINE – (06/20/2019)

The nominees for Teen Choice 2019 have been announced, and Avengers: Endgame and Aladdin are leading the film category, while Riverdale, The Flash and Shadowhunters lead TV. Rapper Lil Nas X is tops in music.

Teen Choice celebrates the hottest teen stars in television, music, film, sports, comedy and social media, and will air live on FOX from Hermosa Beach, CA on Sunday, August 11th, at 8 p.m. 

Avengers snagged nine noms, followed by Aladdin with five; Captain Marvel, Aquaman and Crazy Rich Asians each earned four. Riverdale, The Flash and Shadowhunters grabbed five each, followed by Arrow, with four. Lil Nas earned five nominations, with Post Malone earning four. Host(s), performers, presenters and additional nominees will be announced soon.

BRITNEY SPEARS’ REP CALLS INSTAGRAM COMMENT ALLEGATIONS ‘ABSURD’ – (06/20/2019)

Representatives from Britney Spears’ team are responding to allegations that they’ve been deleting positive comments from the singer’s Instagram posts “to keep up the illusion that she needs help.”

“We unequivocally deny the absurd allegations that we have promoted negative statements or deleted positive posts from Instagram and are considering appropriate action,” a rep told Entertainment Tonight on Wednesday.

The statement comes after the Instagram account absolutebritneycom shared a post accusing her team of deleting comments. “So Britney’s team is deleting positive comments on her Instagram post and leaving negative ones to keep up the illusion that she needs help!” the post reads. “They were all so quick to remove all comments before but now all the sudden they are leaving all negative ones but removing positive ones! How much longer is this going to be?!? This has to be human rights violation!!!! #FreeBritney”

Britney’s mom, Lynne Spears, replied with her agreement of the post. “I can’t believe u just posted this because I had a friend tell me the same thing! I posted something and tried to go back and find it and none of it is in order and I couldn’t find mine, which I JUST POSTED???” she wrote. “I know you are a true fan and love her so thank you for pointing this out because I have had others say the same.”

Fans have been supporting Britney lately amid status hearings about her conservatorship with her father, Jamie Spears, as well as the singer’s restraining order against her former manager, Sam Lutfi, and her battle with paparazzi over allegedly doctored photos of her.

Meanwhile, Britney wants fans to know that it’s not so easy for her to lose weight when she wants to. On Tuesday, she opened up to her Instagram followers about what it’s like when she tries to slim down. “I’ve been working really hard to [lose] weight …. and for me 3 pounds is like 7 pounds it’s a lot. I don’t like doing too much cardio,” she captioned a video of her doing her favorite workout moves.

ANGELINA JOLIE JOINS ‘TIME’ AS AN EDITOR – (06/20/2019)

Angelina Jolie is rounding out her resume, which already contains multiple line items under activist, actor and humanitarian. Edward Felsenthal, editor-in-chief and CEO of Time announced Wednesday that Jolie has joined the publication as a contributing editor. Jolie will tackle a variety of topics, with a focus on displacement, conflict and human rights on a global scale.

Jolie reportedly plans to draw on her 18 years of experience working with the U.N. Refugee Agency, where she serves as the Special Envoy of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and has carried out over 60 field missions to refugees. Her most recent missions have taken place in Colombia, Peru and Bangladesh.

IRINA SHAYK HAD A ‘DIFFICULT’ TIME DEALING WITH BRADLEY COOPER, LADY GAGA RUMORS – (06/20/2019)

Being in a relationship when people think your partner is stepping out is tough in any circumstances, but in the limelight it’s almost unimaginable. According to a report in Us Weekly, Irina Shayk did not take kindly to the constant rumors that her partner Bradley Cooper was hooking up with his co-worker Lady Gaga.

The pair were working on A Star Is Born together, with Cooper directing and both of them leading as star-crossed lovers. 

“The movie had a major impact on Bradley and Irina’s relationship,” a source says exclusively in the new issue of Us Weekly of the former couple, who broke up earlier this month after more than four years together. “Even though there was nothing romantic between Bradley and Gaga, the noise was difficult for Irina to deal with.”

Another source tells Us that Gaga “felt bad” about the rumors and she has no plans to “get together” with Cooper after his split with the supermodel, with whom he shares Lea, 2. 

Meanwhile, a report in ET claims Cooper is completely focused on his relationship with Lea, but that he still has a “deep friendship.”

TAYLOR SWIFT DISHES ON HER MUSIC VIDEO RECONCILIATION WITH KATY PERRY – (06/19/2019)

Katy Perry and Taylor Swift made their peace music-video official in Swift’s “You Need to Calm Down” video – but there was a year-long process leading to the moment the two embraced, dressed like a hamburger and French fries.

In a new interview with BBC Radio 1, Taylor explains that she initially pitched the video idea to Katy via text and wasn’t sure if she’d be down to do it – but Katy was on board.

“I sent it to her and she was like, ‘I would love for us to be a symbol of redemption and forgiveness,’” Taylor says.

She adds that the idea for the burger and fries costumes wasn’t part of her initial treatment, but she was inspired by Katy’s burger outfit at the MET Gala after-party this year.

“I was like, ‘Can we do a burger and fries as, like, a metaphor for two people who belong together?’ Like people who are a perfect pair,” Taylor says. “And she thought it was really funny, so we did it.”

The two former rivals buried the hatchet after Katy sent a note and an actual olive branch to Taylor before her Reputation tour. When they ran into each other again, Taylor says, they realized they had “grown past allowing ourselves to be pitted against each other.”

They ramped up their reconciliation – or at least the publicity of it – just recently. Last week, Perry Instagrammed a plate of chocolate-chip cookies, bearing the words “Peace at Last,” with Swift tagged in the caption.

Following the release of the video, Swift told E! that she and Perry have “really been on good terms for a while.” And yet, they were both apparently worried about making their friendship public.

“We didn’t know if we were ever gonna really tell people about it,” Swift said of their friendship. “We wanted to make sure that was solid between us before we ever made the public aware.”

After seeing the video, Ariana took to her Instagram Story to praise both Taylor and Tatianna, the drag queen who played her. “[Thank you] for having me in your video I was amazing @taylorswift,” Ariana jokes. “Jk @tatiannagram you f****** killed it, love u & am honored.” The video, which promotes acceptance and celebrates gay pride, also features drag queen versions of Adele, Lady Gaga, Cardi B, Beyoncé and more. 

ED SHEERAN ENLISTS CARDI B, EMINEM, CAMILA CABELLO & MORE FOR HIS ‘NO. 6 COLLABORATIONS PROJECT’ – (06/19/2019)

Ed Sheeran has shared the full tracklist for his upcoming project, No.6 Collaborations Project, due out July 12th.

Cardi B, Camila Cabello, Khalid, Eminem, Travis Scott, Bruno Mars, Stormzy, Chris Stapleton, 50 Cent and and more are all featured on the project. Ella Mai, H.E.R., Meek Mill, Young Thug and Skrillex are also part of the lineup. Two songs from the album – “I Don’t Care” with Justin Bieber and “Cross Me” with Chance the Rapper and PnB Rock – have already been released.

There are 22 featured artists in all. “I’m a huge fan of all of the artists I worked with on the album,” the singer-songwriter said in a statement. “Whether I’ve been following them since the beginning of their careers, or had their albums on repeat, they’re artists that inspire me and all bring something special to each track. Can’t wait for you to hear it!”

Ed has said he decided to make No. 6 Collaborations Project a kind of sequel to his 2011 EP, No. 5 Collaborations Project.

SHAWN MENDES TEASES NEW COLLAB WITH CAMILA CABELLO: Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello have a new collaboration coming out. The news was confirmed with a snippet from their upcoming music video for the song on Shawn’s Instagram. Shawn and Camila have dropped hints that they were working on something new together, after sharing a snap from backstage at the Grammys before grabbing lunch together in LA. The upcoming collab marks their second together. The first was back in 2015 with “I Know What You Did Last Summer”.

‘AVENGERS: ENDGAME’ WINS BIG AT MTV MOVIE & TV AWARDS – (06/18/2019)

Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame won big at the 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards, which aired last night.

Endgame took home Best Movie, winning over BlacKkKlansman, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and Us.

Endgame director Anthony Russo accepted the award and presented video speeches from stars Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man.) The duo thanked fans, late Marvel writer and creator Stan Lee, and Russo.

Endgame also won Best Hero for Downey and Best Villain for Josh Brolin, who portrayed the all-powerful Thanos.

HBO’s Game of Thrones took home the Golden Popcorn trophy for Best Show over Big Mouth, Riverdale, Schitt’s Creek and The Haunting of Hill House.

In the acting categories, Elisabeth Moss won Best Performance in a Show for The Handmaid’s Tale, and Lady Gaga took home the Best Performance in a Movie Trophy for A Star is Born.

Jada Pinkett Smith was honored with the Trailblazer Award, while Dwayne Johnson was presented with the Generation Award.

Host Zachary Levi started things off by poking fun at the night’s categories and some of the celebrities in attendance including Dwayne Johnson, Kumail Nanjiani and Dave Bautista.

The Shazam! star noted how most of the audience was a nerd at one point before showing off unflattering photos of Johnson, Nanjiani and Bautista. Johnson’s photo featured the actor sporting a fanny pack while Bautista looked skinny and half his now muscular size.

Levi then shared an uplifting message for viewers at home, telling them to start loving the person that they are.

Meanwhile, Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio pulled a Kanye West at Saturday’s taping of the awards show when Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta won over The Challenge in the Reality Royalty category. However, viewers didn’t get to see it. Producers cut out Devenanzio’s speech from Monday’s airing, after the reality star took the mic to let audience members know that he and the rest of his The Challenge stars deserved the award.

“We finally won! After all these years, it’s about time MTV finally gives ‘The Challenge’ the recognition it deserves,” he told the crowd. “All the other shows that got nominated are essentially paying rent in the genre we created.” The reality star was reportedly removed from the stage eventually and the cast of Love & Hip Hop got a chance to accept the award.

Other highlights throughout the night included Bazzi performing “Paradise,” Lizzo’s first ever awards show performance with her hit song “Juice,” and presenters including Aubrey Plaza, Nick Kroll, Tiffany Haddish, Elisabeth Moss, and more.

ARIANA GRANDE TO CO-HOST ‘CATFISH?’ – (06/18/2019)

Ariana Grande could be the next Catfish co-host, according to showrunner Nev Schulman.

In an interview with TMZ, Schulman said his dream is the have the 25-year-old singer co-host with him, especially because she’s such a huge fan of the show.

Schulman was told by his followers social media that Ariana had been watching an episode of Catfish recently, and shared clips on her Instagram Stories.

 “I didn’t even know it had happened, but a couple of weeks ago I started getting a lot of mentions on Instagram,” he explained. “People were saying ‘Oh my God! Oh My God! Ariana Grande is watching Catfish!” “So I go to her Instagram page, and honestly it was kinda the coolest thing ever. The button says ‘Follow back,’” Schulman continued.

Nev said he later contacted Ariana and thanked her for watching the show, which then led to the pair discussing the singer making an appearance on the MTV reality show.

He did note that Ariana is extremely busy with her Sweetener Tour these days, but he seems hopeful it’s only a matter of time before she appears on future episodes of the reality series.

Max Joseph was the longtime co-host for the show, but decided to pursue a filmmaking career last year.

ED SHEERAN STARS IN ACTUAL HEINZ KETCHUP COMMERCIAL – BASED ON HIS IDEA – (06/18/2019)

Grammy winner Ed Sheeran has finally made his real dream come true by starring in a Heinz ketchup commercial.

It’s no secret that Ed Sheeran is a longtime fan of Heinz Ketchup. He’s professed his love for it on Twitter, in interviews, and he even has the Heinz Ketchup logo tattooed on his arm. In April, Sheeran decided to take his relationship with Heinz ketchup to the next level. He posted a photo with his beloved condiment of choice, said he had an idea for a commercial and tagged the Heinz social media team.

Now, the commercial has made its big debut.

On YouTube, Heinz says their “Ed Sheeran x Heinz” advertisement is actually based on one of Sheerhan’s own experiences.

The ad starts with the words, “Based on a real DM from Ed Sheeran.” In it, Sheerhan enters a “Super Posh Restaurant,” the type of place that has chandeliers, classical music and “way too many forks.” When he gets his “super fancy” meal, Sheerhan pulls out a bottle of Heinz Ketchup and pours it all over his plate as everyone else looks on aghast.

Heinz said one-third of its Instagram activity – including mentions and tags – is related to Sheeran and his love of the ketchup. The brand will be offering a special edition ketchup bottle – called “EdChup” – as part of the campaign.

In the comments section, it says, “Heinz Tomato Ketchup superfan Ed Sheeran, came to us with a great idea for a Heinz Advert based on his own experience. We were thrilled to make it happen. From one super fan to another. It has to be Ed Sheeran and Heinz.”

DOLLY PARTON APPROVES OF POST MALONE’S BONNAROO OUTFIT – (06/18/2019)

Post Malone‘s outfit during his performance at Bonnaroo in Manchester, TN over the weekend caught Dolly Parton‘s attention. His shirt and pants were covered in little black and while pictures of Dolly’s face. She shared a picture of Post performing at Bonnaroo and tweeted it writing, “Love the outfit from head toe @PostMalone,” followed by a winking emoji.

Post Malone was a headliner during this year’s festival.
