JUSTIN BIEBER & HAILEY BALDWIN IN NO ‘RUSH’ FOR RELIGIOUS WEDDING: Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin may have been legally married at a courthouse last September, but having a religious ceremony with family and friends is still very important to them. People reports they are still in the planning stages of the ceremony and reception, though a date has yet to be set. “They’ve been figuring out the perfect time to do it, and they both feel like the sooner, the better,” a source close to Bieber tells the mag. “They’re still figuring it out.” While they ideally want it to happen soon, the source says they’re taking their time with the planning so all of their loved ones can attend. Justin and Hailey reportedly initially planned to have the bash in January, but now it will likely be held later this year.

JAMIE LEE CURTIS SLAMS FIJI WATER GIRL: Jamie Lee Curtis is not here for Fiji Water’s promotional stunt. The Halloween star took to Instagram to vent about being photobombed without her knowledge (along with everyone else on the Golden Globes red carpet) by Fiji model Kelleth Cuthbert. “So, my husband, who doesn’t look at a lot of show business news sites, just mentioned that I was on the CNN website,” Curtis began.“I specifically moved away from the blatant promotions by Fiji and Moet where young women with their trays filled with their wares stood near a designated camera. I knew why there was a photographer poised there and I moved away as I said out loud that I didn’t want to be doing advertising for either.” She continued, “Clearly this angle shows that I moved from her being behind me and yet from the side it still happens. The sponsors of events need to get permission from people when they get them to take their picture next to products.”

KEVIN HART IS DONE APOLOGIZING – (01/10/2019)

Kevin Hart appeared on Good Morning America Wednesday in an apparent bid to end the Oscars conversation. The comedian said again that he will not be hosting the Oscars next month, but that he is done with the apology tour he embarked on after resurfaced homophobic tweets forced him to step down from the gig.

“I’m done with it. It gets no more energy from me,” Hart told Michael Strahan on Good Morning America. “That’s why I said for the last time, I’m addressing this. There’s no more conversation about it. I’m literally over that. I’m over the moment. I’m about today. If [my apology is] accepted today, great. If it’s not, it’s nothing I can control. Some things are left out of your hands, so I’m done with it. I’m over it.”

When Strahan asked Hart if the controversy changed him, he said: “I have explained how I’ve evolved, which makes me say I’m over it. I’m not saying how I’ve changed anymore … I’m not giving no more explanation of who I am. I’ve done it. I’ve done it several times … I’m just done.”

ON ELLEN DEGENERES

He most recently appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to address the controversy, and DeGeneres sparked controversy herself by saying that she hoped the 39-year-old would be reinstated as host.

Many in the LGBTQ community criticized the openly gay host for suggesting Hart should be forgiven.

Of the backlash, Hart said: “It shows me that there is no ending to it. If you keep feeding this energy, then it’s going to grow. You’re not getting no more of my energy from it. I’m not giving no more because it shows that it’s endless, so I’m not shutting down the questions. I hear everything you’re saying, but I want everybody to know I’m done with it. It’s a choice that I personally made to say, ‘I’m not addressing it anymore.’ That’s not from an angry place. It’s just from a place of it’s never going to really end. I’m done with it. So if people choose to continue to let it grow, then do what you got to do.”

JOHNNY DEPP SETTLES LAWSUIT WITH EX-BODYGUARDS – (01/09/2019)

Johnny Depp has settled a legal issue with two of his ex-bodyguards, E! reports. Per court docs obtained by the site, Depp “reached a conditional settlement which settles and resolved the entire matter as to each defendant and each plaintiff.”

Terms were not disclosed.

In May, retired LAPD detective Eugene Arreola and Miguel Sanchez sued him, claiming the Pirates of the Caribbean star owed them money for unpaid wages and overtime; they also claimed he wrongfully terminated them. Documents also claimed that they were “exposed to unsafe working conditions and essentially used as baby sitters and chauffeurs for Depp, his children and his entourage.”

FAST FACTS:

  • The beleaguered 55-year-old has been at the center of several scandals in recent years. As a result, acting gigs may dry up, observers speculate. According to a report in ForbesDisney is seriously mulling firing Depp from its Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Because of salary and insurance requirements, the House of Mouse could save almost $90 million (a hefty helping of its $230 million budget) by losing Captain Jack Sparrow.
  • His divorce from Amber Heard keeps making waves as well. Per a recent report in The Hollywood Reporter, Heard and Depp used to refer to “his other personality” as “the monster.”

Ariana who? Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson appears to be bouncing back after his split from fiancée Ariana Grande and the posting an alarming Instagram note a few weeks ago, if a report in Page Six is to be believed.

Davidson was spotted leaving the Netflix Golden Globes party with Kate Beckinsale. “They were flirting all night and sipping Moët champagne,” a spy told Page Six TV. “They were outside on the patio and left together.”

It’s not Davidson’s first dive back into the dating pool; he was also spotted on a date at Carbone last month with a “mystery woman.” Beckinsale was most recently linked to British comedian Jack Whitehall; she divorced Hollywood producer Len Wiseman in 2016.

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE EXCITED ABOUT STAGE RETURN FOLLOWING VOCAL CORD ISSUES – (01/08/2019)

Justin Timberlake is back performing and he couldn’t be more thrilled.

“Last night. Feels good to be back,” the singer wrote on Sunday, 48 hours after he headlined the Capital One Arena in Washington D.C. following a two month hiatus from performing due to bruised vocal cords.

The Man of the Woods tour kicked back off Friday night and continued on Sunday night with a gig at the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The tour was delayed in late October, when Timberlake canceled a show at Madison Square Garden in New York, explaining that “my vocal cords are severely bruised… I’m gonna make this up to you.”  Other postponements followed and JT shared an update in early December, noting he was on the mend and that doctors had recommended he hold off on singing until January.

The tour has been extended until mid-April.

LADY GAGA SAYS CELINE DION ‘OUTPERFORMED’ HER AT ‘ENIGMA’ RESIDENCY – (01/08/2019)

On opening night of Lady Gaga’s Enigma residency in Las Vegas last month, Celine Dion was caught on video rocking out to Gaga’s performance of “The Edge of Glory” and other songs. Gaga tells Access Hollywood that she loved Celine’s reaction so much, she actually incorporated it into her show.

“She inspired my performance,” Gaga says. “I watched that video after I did that show, and then the next night when I sang ‘The Edge of Glory’ I was doing all the moves that Céline was doing because she outperformed me while I was singing it!” She adds, “She’s an icon! And you know what is so wonderful? She is so kind.”

Gaga also only had good things to say about another icon who has a Las Vegas residency.

“And you know who else is so kind is Cher,” she says. “When [A Star Is Born] came out, that woman sent me, like, 600 white roses. And she said, ‘It worked for me and I believe it will work for you, the dreams that you wish will come true. From Cinderella.’“

Gaga continues her Vegas residency later this month.

According to a speech that Gaga made onstage during the show, Celine also joined Gaga behind the scenes before the concert began.

“Give it up for Céline Dion,” Gaga shouted during her speech. “She prayed with me and my entire crew backstage before this show. That is how amazing she is.”

IDRIS ELBA FIRES UP JAMES BOND RUMORS WITH DANIEL CRAIG PIC – (01/08/2019)

Idris Elba continues to stoke fan excitement over the possibility that he will be the next James Bond. Elba’s latest move: he snagged current James Bond star Daniel Craig for a selfie at the Golden Globes Sunday night.

The pair looked pained, and he captioned it, “Awks…..”

Speculation that Elba could be 007 started in 2014, when a leaked email showed Sony exec Amy Pascal floating the possibility. Since then, he has alternatively denied, avoided and encouraged the rumor, apparently enjoying the game of cat and mouse.

Craig is reportedly giving up the franchise after the next installment.

KEVIN HART RESPONDS TO OUTRAGE OVER ELLEN DEGENERES’ SUPPORT – (01/07/2019)

Ellen DeGeneres welcomed Kevin Hart onto her show Friday, and her support for him and his potential reinstatement as Oscar host has earned serious blowback on social media. Hart was forced to weigh in himself, and per the latest, he reportedly does not intend to return to host the Oscars (even if the Academy wanted him).

Hart of course famously stepped down for his 2019 Oscars host post after homophobic tweets sent out years ago were resurfaced.

DeGeneres, who is gay, says she is actively campaigning to have him reinstated. She told Hart: “I called [The Academy], I said, ‘Kevin’s on, I have no idea if he wants to come back and host, but what are your thoughts?’ And they were like, ‘Oh my God, we want him to host. We feel like that maybe he misunderstood or it was handled wrong or maybe we said the wrong thing but we want him to host. Whatever we can do we would be thrilled. And he should host the Oscars.’”

CRITICISM

Several LGBTQ activists expressed their disdain for DeGeneres’ position. Wrote prominent activist Deray: “I expected Ellen to actually ask Kevin Hart some sort of challenging question. Anything, really. But instead, it was just one long monologue from Kevin interspersed with Ellen’s approval. That interview made me miss the previous talk show hosts that asked tough questions.”

CNN journalist Don Lemon also denounced Hart and DeGeneres, to which Hart seemed to respond to in an Instagram post, writing: “Basketball players aren’t great until they LEARN how to play the game correctly … A news anchor or journalist does not start at the top…they have to LEARN to develop to be great at their job.”

MIKE POSNER TO ‘MOVE ON’ BY WALKING ACROSS THE U.S. – (01/07/2019)

Mike Posner is ready to “Move On” by walking across the United States.

Posner made the announcement in the video for his new single, “Move On,” which details his struggles since he released the hit “I Took a Pill in Ibiza” in 2015.

In the video, which features clips from over the past few years as well as typed messages from Mike, the singer talks about the emotional lows he’s taken over the past few years: His dad died of brain cancer, he broke up with his girlfriend, and his pal Avicii, who he name checked in “Ibiza,” also passed away. Mike goes on to admit he’s been sad and “feeling off,” but he’s “tired of moping around.”

So he’s decided to start walking across the country on March 1st – a feat that will take him about a year to complete.

He tweeted: “I’m excited to announce that starting March 1, 2019, I will be walking across America. I will start at the Atlantic Ocean and end at the Pacific ocean. The journey will take me most of my 31st year. You are welcome to join at any time. See you out there.”

“Furthermore, I will be attempting to practice deep listening on The Walk,” he continues. “What does this mean? i will be spending periods of my walk compassionately listening to people with as much of my full attention as possible. Here goes!”

“Move On” is featured on Mike’s upcoming new album, A Real Good Kid, which comes out January 18th.

KENDALL JENNER’S ‘BRAVE’ ANNOUNCEMENT OF HAVING ACNE UNDERWHELMS – (01/07/2019)

After Kendall Jenner and mom Kris Jenner teased that the model had a big announcement to make, fans were theorizing what the reveal could be.

Two days later, the 23-year-old’s new partnership with Proactiv debuted during E!’s live Golden Globes red carpet coverage last night and Twitter users were underwhelmed.

Matriarch Kris Jenner had teased big news from her daughter on Instagram Saturday by praising the supermodel “for being so brave and vulnerable.” She described it as Jenner’s “most raw story” yet and said “be prepared to be moved.” The next day, Jenner opened up about her battle with acne and revealed her new partnership with skin care company Proactiv, a year after the reality star’s acne was visible on the Golden Globes red carpet.

“I remember going online and seeing all the horrible things people were saying about me and my skin,” Jenner said in a commercial for Proactiv, which aired during the Golden Globes red carpet show. “I felt so good (that night) that I forgot that I had bad skin.” Social media users were not moved by Jenner’s revelation.

One fan tweeted, “I wish I could get a refund on the time I spent thinking of what the Kendall Jenner announcement would be.”

“ACNE IS NOT THE THING I WANTED TO HAVE IN COMMON WITH KENDALL JENNER,” another user wrote.

Other users, however, sent the reality star support. “Kendall Jenner is so brave for coming out as an ambassador for Pro Activ,” one fan tweeted.

“OMG can’t believe Kendall had to suffer with acne in silence for so long…… so brave….. thank you for coming forward and sharing your story @KendallJenner,” another fan penned, adding the hashtag “#changetheconversation.”

Shortly after, Jenner followed her tweet about her acne with another post that really drove home why a few pimples didn’t stop her from attending the Golden Globes: “honored and humbled to be able to attend the Golden Globes with @voguemagazine . my eyes were opened and my heart is full seeing all of the men and women who were a part of this vital change! i  too stand with all women #TimesUp”

TAYLOR SWIFT FANS THINK SHE WILL MAKE A MERMAID-THEMED ALBUM NEXT – (01/04/2019)

Thanks to the costume that Taylor Swift wore to her New Years Eve party, fans are beginning to speculate about the theme of the singer’s next album.

After it was revealed that Swift dressed up as Ariel from Disney’s The Little Mermaid for an end-of-the-year party at which guests were supposed to come as their childhood heroes, some Swifties took to Twitter to share their thoughts on why Tay’s seventh album will be mermaid-inspired.

Most of the theories centered around two other clothing items that Swift wore in the past year or so that also featured mermaids: a camo jacket she rocked in the November 2017 magazine that was released alongside physical copies of Reputation and a t-shirt she can be seen sporting in the blooper reel of her Reputation stadium tour Netflix special.

However, some supporters seem convinced that Swift has also dropped other clues. “The little mermaid came out in 1989 Taylor was born in 1989 One of her most successful albums is 1989 SHOOK,” tweeted one fan account.

Meanwhile, Taylor’s app, The Swift Life, has announced it’s coming to an end. A message on the app’s Twitter page confirmed that the app will be shutting down on February 1st, after first launching to coincide with her Reputation album in 2017.

“As the ‘Reputation’ era comes to an end, our time on The Swift Life will be ending too,” the message read. “We would like to thank all the dedicated fans who downloaded The Swift Life, engaged with this amazing community and created gorgeous pieces of content for others to enjoy,” the statement concluded.

MADONNA RESPONDS TO BODY-SHAMERS WHO QUESTIONED IF SHE GOT ‘BUTT IMPLANTS’ – (01/04/2019)

Madonna is responding to speculation surrounding her body after a new photo went viral this week.

The 60-year-old singer appeared to address critics on Instagram Thursday with a close-up selfie from New Year’s Day: “Desperately seeking no ones approval…and entitled to free agency over my body like everyone else!”

“Thank you 2019! Its Going to Be an amazing Year,” she continued, adding the hashtags #nofear and #nodiscrimination, which appear to be aimed at those who attempted to body-shame her derriere.

Following a New Year’s performance just after midnight at New York’s Stonewall Inn, users on Twitter began attacking the  singer, whose backside appeared curvier than usual during the set.

Many speculated the songstress got butt implants while others argued she was wearing some sort of padding under her pants. One user joked that she was “modeling adult diapers now.”

Even many defending Madonna couldn’t help but weigh in on her new look. “If someone wants surgery, they can do it, their body their choice,” another person wrote. “But MANNNNN, beauty standards today somehow made Madonna get a botched butt surgery….yikes.”

Madonna surprised fans at Stonewall by performing her 1989 hit “Like a Prayer” and Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love.” She was joined by her 13-year-old son, David Banda, who played guitar.

Before performing, the singer gave a speech about starting the New Year with kindness and inclusion.

KIM KARDASHIAN AND KANYE WEST ARE EXPECTING BABY NO. 4 – (01/03/2019)

Baby No. 4 on board! In a surprise news flash, news broke that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are expecting their fourth child via surrogate. Multiple publications, including People, Us Weekly and E! confirmed the news. The baby-to-be will join Chicago, 1 this month, Saint, 3, and North, 5.

The announcement comes as a surprise because as recently as August, the 38-year-old mom was reportedly not “in a huge rush” for another baby, despite the 41-year-old rapper’s desire for more.

“But I’ve been really open about it and talked about it on our show, so I don’t know,” the KKW Beauty guru told E! in August. “We start filming season 16 next week, so if I think about it more and it’s gonna happen, you’ll definitely see it on the show. But as of now, no.”

Over on Twitter, after fans got over the shock, they started weighing in with name recommendations. Mercury, South, East and West are among the most-frequently floated. Haters were quick to posit that Drake (who Kanye is feuding with) is “probably” the father, and that they only decided on a fourth child because ratings are down on KUWTK.

After having two rough pregnancies with North and Saint, she opted for surrogacy following a doctor’s recommendation. Despite how challenging it was for her to give up control over the pregnancy, Kim ultimately has said having a surrogate “is the best decision I ever made.”

She is reportedly using the same surrogate she used with Chicago. An insider tells Us Weekly that the baby is due in May. Us Weekly is also reporting the baby is male.

KANYE WEST ISN’T PERFORMING AT COACHELLA – (01/03/2019)

Kanye West won’t be performing at Coachella this year. According to TMZ, Ye was in talks to headline the festival in April, however due to negotiations over his stage setup, it won’t be happening. Kanye informed festival organizer Goldenvice that he would not perform on a traditional 60×40 foot stage because it is “artistically limiting.”

An insider close to Kanye told TMZ, “These 40×60 stages are so archaic. It’s the same type of stage on which Shakespeare’s works were performed hundreds of years ago.”

Goldenvoice would reportedly not let Kanye alter or remove his set, so they mutually agreed to call off his performance.

In other news, Childish Gambino, Ariana Grande and Tame Impala will be heading Coachella this year.

ARIANA GRANDE TO HEADLINE COACHELLA 2019 – (01/03/2019)

Coachella announced its 2019 lineup late Wednesday, revealing that Ariana Grande will headline the festival’s Sunday dates. Childish Gambino will also headline, as will Tame Impala.

Rihanna and Kanye West, both previously rumored to be considered for the headlining slots, are not performing.

Other confirmed performers for this year’s lineup include Billie Eilish, J-pop group Perfume, Solange, The 1975, Janelle Monae, Bad Bunny, K-pop stars BLACKPINK, Khalid, Zedd and more.

The show will run for two weekends starting first on April 12-14 and again on April 19-21. Tickets go on sale January 4th.

ARIANA GRANDE SAYS SHE’S NOT GOING TO DATE ANYONE IN 2019 & ‘PROBABLY’ BEYOND: Ariana Grande is making a resolution about her love life in 2019 and perhaps even beyond that. It all started when the 25-year-old singer responded to a headline that read, “Who Is Ariana Grande Dating NOW?!” Ariana initially tweeted, “can they tell me too?” Then, a fan tweeted, “spoiler. it’s me!” Ariana then took to Twitter to actually clarify that she’s not planning on dating anyone in 2019 or “probably” the rest of her life “Spoiler for the rest of this year / probably my life: it’s no one,” Grande tweeted, setting the record straight. “Please refer back to this tweet for further questions.” Everyone got that? Great.”

DEMI LOVATO CONFIRMS HENRY LEVY RELATIONSHIP RUMORS – (01/03/2019)

Demi Lovato and Henry Levy are Instagram official. The singer posted a video on her Instagram Story of herself kissing Henry Levy – her sober companion – on a private jet.

Lovato hasn’t been active on social media following her overdose, though she has occasionally returned to express her gratitude to fans following her near death experience. She also recently shared a post slamming reports speculating about her health.

“I love my fans, and hate tabloids. Don’t believe what you read,” she wrote. “People will literally make up stuff to sell a story. Sickening. If I feel like the world needs to know something, I will tell them MYSELF. Otherwise people stop writing about my recovery, because it’s no one’s business but mine. I am sober and grateful to be alive and taking care of ME.”

Video confirmation of the 26-year-old’s relationship with the fashion designer comes after a source told ET Online the pair are “casually dating.”

They first met a few years ago in rehab. Lovato is currently focused on her recovery following an apparent overdose, and has been leaning on Levy.

ARIANA GRANDE TURNS DOWN U.K.’S OFFER OF A DAMEHOOD OUT OF RESPECT FOR MANCHESTER VICTIMS – (01/02/2019)

Ariana Grande has reportedly turned down the offer of a Damehood from The Queen of England in a bid to respect the hundreds of fans who were affected by the Manchester Arena bomb attack.

The British tabloid The Sun claims that Ariana was offered the honorary title out of appreciation for her One Love Manchester concert, which she organized to raise money for the victims of the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing. However, she reportedly turned down the offer, because she felt it might be insensitive to the families of the victims.

A source tells the paper, “Ariana was flattered but said it was too soon. She explained she was still grieving. So were scores of families. She feared some affected might see it as insensitive. The committee wrote to her but she politely said no.”

Another source added, “She was deeply moved and honored. She didn’t decline it as such but explained it was not the right time to accept.”

The mother of one of the victims tells The Sun, “It’s a lovely gesture. She’s right – maybe it is a bit too soon. She’s lovely and would never do anything to hurt any of us.”

Ariana did, however, accept honorary citizenship to the city of Manchester.

JUSTIN BIEBER APOLOGIZES AFTER DISSING JOJO SIWA’S CUSTOM CAR – (01/02/2019)

Justin Bieber has apologized to YouTube/Nickelodeon star JoJo Siwa after dissing a car she received from West Coast Customs as a gift. The BMW is wrapped with rainbow colors, has her name and face on the hood, and “D.R.E.A.M. The Tour” written on the side, along with a picture of a unicorn.

After West Coast Customs reposted a photo of the car, Justin commented on the photo, writing “Burn it,” repeatedly.

JoJo’s mom responded indignantly, “Burn your own things.”

Then, on Sunday, Justin tweeted JoJo and wrote, “I have nothing against you it was the car and the colors I didn’t like I really hope you didn’t think it was malicious or mean spirited.”

JoJo responded, “it’s all good bro! you can perform at my 16th birthday party and we’ll call it good!”

Then JoJo adopted “Burn it” as her new catchphrase, tweeting it repeatedly.

CELINE DION ROCKS OUT AT LADY GAGA’S ‘ENIGMA’ SHOW IN VEGAS – (01/02/2019)

The newest Las Vegas headliner has gotten the seal of approval from Sin City’s reigning Queen.

Lady Gaga kicked off her brand-new residency show Enigma Friday night to rave reviews, and she also performed Sunday night. On her Instagram story, she posted video of Celine Dion rocking out in the audience.

In the video, Celine is dancing while Gaga sings “Edge of Glory.” There’s also video of Celine dancing and clapping along to “You and I.”

A fan posted video of Gaga from the stage, yelling, “Give it up for Celine Dion!” The crowd cheers as the camera pans to find Celine standing, smiling and waving to the crowd.

Gaga followed that post with a photo of herself wearing one of her Enigma costumes, and the caption, “I love you Celine.”
