MOVIE NEWS
Meanwhile on the job front, Johansson is set to re-team up with Rupert Sanders for a massage parlor film Rub & Tug. The pair collaborated on Ghost in the Machine.
New Regency has won the rights for the film, which follows the story of Jean Marie Gill, who flourished in the male-dominated massage and prostitution industry.
Per Deadline, Gill “was a larger than life character who took on the mob and became the crime kingpin of 1970s Pittsburgh through her empire of illicit massage parlors and an anabolic steroids ring that helped fuel the Pittsburgh Steelers NFL dynasty, all the while cross-dressing and leaning on her allies in the gay community to help grow her empower. However, it is Jean’s fiery romance with her girlfriend Cynthia that truly defines her and forms the emotional core of the story.”
MARIAH CAREY TWEETS APPROVAL AFTER DRAKE USES ‘EMOTIONS’ SAMPLE ON NEW ALBUM – (07/03/2018)
Mariah Carey approves of her surprise appearance on Drake’s new album, Scorpion.
The singer tweeted a screenshot of her phone, showing that she was listening to the track “Emotionless,” which uses a sample of the club remix of her 1991 hit song, “Emotions.” She captioned it with some fire emojis to note she’s a fan of the song and tagged Drake.
In addition to the prominent sample of Mariah’s vocals, the song also features lyrics in which Drake acknowledges his rumored son with former adult-film star Sophie Brussaux.
“I wasn’t hiding my kid from the world/I was hiding the world from my kid,” he raps.
Drake recently gave more details about his baby boy reportedly named Adonis, revealing that he was born on October 11th and that he celebrated in Miami when a DNA test confirmed that he in fact was the father. He also admitted that he has only met his son once so far.
In his rap beef with Pusha T, Drake was “exposed” on the diss track “The Story of Adidon,” when Pusha accused Drake of refusing to acknowledge his son.
Mariah, meanwhile, is gearing up for her brand new Las Vegas residency, The Butterfly Returns, which kicks off Thursday.
