SELENA GOMEZ WANTS TO RETIRE – (03/10/2021)

Selena Gomez told Vogue that she’s considering retiring from her musical career.

The singer said during her April 2021 cover story interview, “It’s hard to keep doing music when people don’t necessarily take you seriously. I’ve had moments where I’ve been like, ‘What’s the point? Why do I keep doing this?’

“‘Lose You to Love Me’ I felt was the best song I’ve ever released, and for some people it still wasn’t enough. I think there are a lot of people who enjoy my music, and for that I’m so thankful, for that I keep going, but I think the next time I do an album it’ll be different. I want to give it one last try before I maybe retire music.”

Although she may be putting music on the back burner, she doesn’t plan to disappear from the spotlight.  Gomez – who is currently filming for the upcoming Hulu series Only Murders in The Building – says she plans to give herself “a real shot at acting.”

LADY GAGA STILL HASN’T PAID DOGNAPPING REWARD – (03/10/2021)

The woman who found Lady Gaga’s dogs still has not received her reward money.

According to TMZ, authorities believe the dognappers may have been part of a gang initiation and told the singer not to pay the $500,000 until cops are confident that the finder was not involved in the crime.

Sources tell the site that the authorities don’t believe the woman was a part of the petnapping attempt but they need to determine if she had any involvement after the fact.

CARDI B REFLECTS ON ‘BODAK YELLOW’ SUCCESS – (03/10/2021)

Cardi B took to Instagram to reflect on success of her first hit single “Bodak Yellow” which is now certified diamond. The RIAA announced the news yesterday (March 9th) via Twitter. Cardi is the first female rapper in RIAA history to achieve the milestone.

Cardi wrote, “Thank you to everyone that sent me beautiful congrats on Bodak going, Diamond. A couple of years ago, I didn’t even understand what going diamond meant. I just wanted to win and break-in. This record changed my life.”

She continued, “Thank you to everyone who showed Bodak so much support and who bought [the record] till THIS DAYY!! That’s why it went diamond cause of the support YOU still give.”

She added, “Wap is a spicy one, shorty 5X platinum in 7 months. It makes me really happy cause I put this song out when I doubted myself the most. With hardly any radio play cause of how nasty it was but babyeeee it was a shocker!”

Cardi later took time out to call out people who said that she never gave rapper Kodak Black credit for the song.  Back in 2017 when “Bodak Yellow” came out, Cardi revealed that the song was inspired by Kodak’s 2014 song “No Flockin.”

She tweeted, “He got credit on the song WE both getting rich with the song till we die ..The song is called Bodak Yellow for a reason .You h*es get on this app saying the dumbest sh*t.”

Kodak later tweeted “Bodak Yellow Went Diamond Dam Right @iamcardib.”

Zayn slammed the Recording Academy on Twitter Tuesday (March 9th).

The former One Direction singer wrote, “F*ck the grammy’s and everyone associated.  Unless you shake hands and send gifts, there’s no nomination considerations. Next year I’ll send you a basket of confectionary.”

Zayn, who did not release an album during this year’s eligibility period, clarified in a subsequent tweet that his comments were “not personal or about eligibility but was about the need for inclusion and the lack of transparency of the nomination process and the space that creates and allows favoritism, racism, and networking politics to influence the voting process.”
