DUA LIPA MOBBED IN MEXICO CITY – (03/23/2021)
Dua Lipa was mobbed by fans when she arrived in Mexico City on Saturday (March 20th), prompting a security scare.
Video posted to social media showed throngs of people swarming the singer as she made her way to a waiting car and at one paint, a fan appeared to reach out and grab her arm.
A source told The Sun, “News that she was in the area spread and obviously people were keen to catch sight of Dua. But it turned nasty when two fans rushed up to her.They really ran at her and it looked scary.”
They added, “Dua looked really uncomfortable. Thankfully security was there to drag the people away because who knows what could have happened.”
Earlier that day, Lipa had posted on Twitter that she would be in Mexico for an Yves Saint Laurent Beauty shoot.
KYLIE JENNER RESPONDS TO GOFUNDME BACKLASH – (03/23/2021)
Kylie Jenner has responded to the backlash she received for promoting a GoFundMe drive for celebrity makeup artist Samuel Rauda — who recently sustained major injuries in a car accident. Many felt that Kylie could have given Rauda the money, instead of only donating $5,000 and asking fans to donate the rest.
Kylie explained in a statement, “After learning in more detail about the accident it compelled me to visit his gofundme which was set at 10k. They had already raise 6k so I put it in 5k to reach their original goal and thought I’d post on my stories to gain more awareness if anyone also felt compelled to share or donate.”
She added, “I don’t know how all of this got so twisted but his family has reached out through Ariel and are very appreciative of all the donations, prayers, and love towards Sam.” She ended with, “Anyone that knows me knows that I do things from the heart and I try to be helpful whenever I can be. Let’s all stay positive and keep Sam, his family, and anyone you know who is going through a difficult time in our prayers. I hope you have a beautiful day and let’s encourage each other to help.”
DEMI LOVATO SHARES INFO ABOUT ARIANA GRANDE COLLABORATION – (03/23/2021)
Demi Lovato’s highly anticipated collaboration with Ariana Grande is titled “Met Him Last Night.”
The singer told Paper magazine that the duet will be featured on her seventh studio album Dancing With the Devil…The Art of Starting Over, out April 2nd .
Lovato also confirmed that she and Saweetie have paired up for a female empowerment anthem called, “My GFs Are My BFs.”
Dancing With The Devil will also feature a collaboration with Noah Cyrus. A snippet from the song was posted to Lovato’s socials on March 20th.
TWITTER REACTS TO KATY PERRY + TAYLOR SWIFT: Fans are reacting after Katy Perry hinted at a collaboration with Taylor Swift in the future on American Idol. She said, “Can you imagine if Taylor and I work together, what we could do?” Fans responded to the tease with glee, sharing shrieking memes and suggesting songs. “Bad Blood,” allegedly a tale of their (now sorted out) feud, topping the list. PORTIA DE ROSSI RUSHED TO HOSPITAL BY ELLEN DEGENERES, IN RECOVERY – (03/23/2021)
Portia de Rossi is recovering after emergency surgery Friday night. The 48-year-old at home and “doing well,” a rep tells People.
De Rossi’s wife Ellen De Generes took her to the hospital after she suffered extreme pain. “Ellen rushed Portia to the hospital on Friday night, she was in a lot of pain. It was appendicitis and she had surgery.”
Appendicitis is a relatively common condition causing blockage or inflammation of the appendix. If it is not treated, the organ can burst.
The pair, who married in 2008, have stuck by each other during a rough year. De Generes faced both a COVID infection and allegations from former employees that she cultivated a toxic environment on the set of her titular show. DeGeneres told People that de Rossi “kept me going and tried to help me put things in perspective,” during that challenging time.
