MEGHAN MARKLE AND PRINCE HARRY INTRODUCE BABY, HAIL ‘MAGIC’ FIRST DAYS – (05/09/2019)
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have revealed their baby’s name. Baby Sussex’s name is Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, the pair shared on Instagram.
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are pleased to announce they have named their firstborn child: Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor,” the new parents wrote.
They added: “This afternoon Their Royal Highnesses introduced Her Majesty The Queen to her eighth great-grandchild at Windsor Castle. The Duke of Edinburgh and The Duchess’ mother were also present for this special occasion.”
After Archie made his big debut Monday, a happy Harry, 34, admitted that the name thing was the tough part, now that he was here: “The baby is a little bit overdue so we’ve had a little bit of time to think about it. That’s the next bit.”
Before the name was announced, oddsmakers were saying Alexander was the top choice, followed by Arthur. Other options included Philip or Spencer.
Meghan, 37, and Harry also stepped outside of their home Wednesday to show Archie’s face, but they waited to share his name on social media.
Meghan described being a mother to Archie, saying: [“It’s magic. It’s pretty amazing. I have the two best guys in the world, so I’m really happy.”] SOUNDCUE (:15 OC: . . .really happy.)
“He has the sweetest temperament. He’s really calm,” said Meghan, prompting Harry to joke beside her, “I wonder who he gets that from.”
“He’s just been the dream, so it’s been a special couple days,” added Meghan, who was last seen in an official public appearance in March.

KATY PERRY REVEALS CHANDELIER DRESS AT MET GALA WEIGHED 40 POUNDS – (05/09/2019)
During an appearance on ABC’s Good Morning America, Katy Perry was all about fashion.
The 34-year-old entertainer also talked about American Idol, her latest Katy Perry Collections shoe line and dished about wearing a dress with an actual chandelier surrounding it at the 2019 Met Gala.
“I didn’t go to any Finishing school or anything like that, but I really had to walk a straight line,” Katy revealed. “I wanted to say hi to all my friends, but even if someone looked at me for long enough, I’d start to teeter. I was nervous I was going to timber at one point.”
“[It weighed] 40 pounds,” Katy said. “It was easier to walk as a cheeseburger because it was very padded, all that special sauce.”
As for her cheeseburger costume, which she wore to the after party, she said she ended up on the floor on purpose. “I’m kind of a practical joker, so all night, I would kinda fall down a little bit, like ‘[I] can’t get up!’” she laughed. “And everybody was like, ‘Oh, no there’s a cheeseburger down in the corner!’ and I’d be like, ‘It’s part of the act.’”
Katy showed off the whimsical new line of shoes from her KP Collection, including scented sandals and a shoe that looks like a cheeseburger. Katy revealed she likes to refer to her shoes “shoe-stoppers.” “They stop traffic and start conversations,” said. Then the talk turned to which shoes Katy might wear when she walks down the aisle with her fiancé, Orlando Bloom.
“Someone decided to put up with me for the rest of my life!” Katy said triumphantly. As for the shoes, she admitted, “Well, I guess I should get started on that! I haven’t figured that part out.”
“We’re definitely, like, enjoying the moment,” she added. “But I figure if I do [design a shoe], it would probably have something to do with flowers and blooming.”
Perry, who in the midst of filming American Idol Season 17, said she’s enjoying her time judging the singing competition. “I am just having such a blast mentoring these kids and supporting them and lifting them up,” she said.
LINDSAY LOHAN DRAGGED FOR SLAMMING ZENDAYA’S DRESS – (05/09/2019)
Mean Girls star Lindsay Lohan was not a fan of Zendaya’s Cinderella look at this year’s Met Gala, and she decided to share her thoughts on social media, somehow managing to drag Claire Danes into her takedown in the process.
“Claire Danes did that with [Zac Posen] already,” she wrote, referring to Danes’ outfit and the designer, in a comment to a post from @disneylifestylers that shared Zendaya’s look.
In a separate comment, she sniped, “@ClaireDanes you wore this dress so beautifully, I don’t know why someone thinks that they can be more chic. Ever.”
Most commenters didn’t agree with Lohan’s assessment. “Really honey is this what we doing? It’s fine to have an opinion but your comment was unnecessary. Have some decency and show some kindness,” one person wrote. “[Zendaya,] It was a beautiful dress and you killed it! Much Love!”
“I thought you were about girl power! You sound very bitter and mean. Get your act together! There was no reason for your comment,” another user said.
“@lindsaylohan show us the dress you wore to the #metgala go ahead, I’ll wait,” another comment read, adding, “Go sit down somewhere.”
Lohan has not attended the gala since 2007.
