JOE JONAS AND SOPHIA TURNER SHARE FIRST PHOTO OF WEDDING DAY: The French ceremony that Joe Jonas and Sophia Turner enjoyed last weekend was technically their second after getting hitched in Las Vegas on May 1st. But this latest one was for the books. The pair posted the same stunning black-and-white shot on their Instagrams, walking hand in hand with smiles on their faces. Turner’s dress is by Louis Vuitton’s artistic director of women’s collections Nicolas Ghesquiere.

DEMI LOVATO ‘TAKING A BREAK’ FROM SOCIAL MEDIA FOLLOWING DEATH OF DOG BAILEY – (07/05/2019)

Demi Lovato is taking time for herself after the death of her beloved dog, sharing the news she would be taking a break from social media with fans on Instagram.

Four days after the death of dog Bailey, Lovato shared a note with her followers, adding a red heart emoji. “Taking a break for a while,” she wrote on a black background. Earlier in the week, Lovato shared a number of photos of her late dog on Instagram, announcing the death of the pet: “RIP Bailey … We love and miss you already sweet girl,” she wrote.

Lovato’s hiatus from social media also comes shortly after she defended Scooter Braun in his ongoing feud with Taylor Swift after he acquired the rights to a large portion of her music catalog amid accusations of “bullying.”

After Todrick Hall weighed in on the feud, calling out Braun as “evil” and “homophobic,” Lovato stepped in to defend her now-manager. “Hey boo, [I don’t know] you or anything and this isn’t hate, but making claims that someone is homophobic is really serious,” Lovato first commented on Hall’s post. “Please don’t spread information that isn’t true because I can guarantee you Scooter isn’t. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself, he wouldn’t have signed me if he was. No hate just trying to clear that up.”

She added, “I have dealt with bad people in this industry and Scooter is not one of them. He’s a good man. Personally, I’m grateful he came into my life when he did. Please stop ‘dragging’ people or bullying them. There’s enough hate in this world as it is.”

“Y’all can come after me all you want but I’m always gonna stay loyal to my team,” she said. “I value loyalty more than most people in this world and if my name is gonna be brought into conversations I’m gonna stand up for myself and the ones on my team.”

MEGHAN MARKLE AND PRINCE HARRY WON’T REVEAL GODPARENTS – (07/05/2019)

Royal drama alert! Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will not reveal the names of the godparents they chose for baby Archie when he is baptized this weekend. In a statement, the palace revealed  that the christening at Windsor Castle on Saturday will be private and that “the godparents, in keeping with their wishes, will remain private.”

The decision, predictably, sparked outrage in some circles, as some claim the pair are using taxpayer money (a reported $3 million+) to renovate their new home, while demanding complete privacy. 

Royal biographer Penny Junor opined that the move is a “mistake.” Junor continued: “We’re not asking for Archie to become public property but to be able to share in the pleasure of his christening, I think it is only fair to give the public that pleasure.”

Among those rumored to be in the “running”: Meghan’s best friend, Canadian stylist Jessica Mulroney, friend Benita Litt, plus good friend and tennis star Serena Williams, lawyer Amal Clooney, wife of Hollywood star George, and Oprah Winfrey. Harry’s old schoolmates, brothers Thomas and Charlie van Straubenzee, could also reportedly be selected, along with Jake Warren, son of the Queen’s thoroughbred bloodstock adviser John Warren.

Photographer Chris Allerton will be there as the official photographer Saturday, and select images will be released. He also took their wedding photos and early images of them with Archie. 

Meanwhile, Meghan popped over to Wimbledon Thursday, making a surprise appearance in support of her pal Williams. She brought two pals from college with her, Lindsey Roth and Genevieve Hills, sparking more godparent rumors.
