KATY PERRY VISITS HOME OF YOUNG AUSTRALIAN FAN TOO SICK TO ATTEND HER CONCERT – (08/01/2018)
Katy Perry made time on to visit the home of a young fan who was too ill to attend her concert in Adelaide, Australia.
According to Australia’s ABC, the girl, eight-year-old Grace, was diagnosed with a brain tumor in April, and had to have brain surgery last week. She was supposed to go to Katy’s show on Monday, but wasn’t able to. Her sister tweeted about Grace’s plight, and after 20,000 retweets, Katy’s management reached out. Katy dropped by the family’s home yesterday.
Grace described the visit from Katy as “amazing,” adding, “She sang three of her songs and she looked at our bedrooms.”
Video on Facebook shows Katy playing with the family dog and singing her song “Chained to the Rhythm.” Katy also shared footage on her Instagram Story of Grace and her sister modeling Katy Perry Witness tour t-shirts.
HARRY STYLES & CAMILLE ROWE SPLIT – (08/01/2018)
Harry Styles and Camille Rowe are no longer together. The 24-year-old singer and the 28-year-old model and actress have parted ways.
The couple reportedly ended their relationship shortly after Harry wrapped his world tour in support of his debut solo album. Neither Harry nor Camille have yet to issue a statement or address the split themselves.
Rumors first swirled of their involvement around August of last year, when they were seen reportedly “all over each other” while watching Fleetwood Mac’s performance at The Classic East in New York City. Styles reportedly brought her to meet his family around December of 2017. The two never officially confirmed their rumored relationship.
The exes reportedly met through mutual friend Alexa Chung, and Rowe was spotted by fans attending several of his performances over the last few months.
The former One Directioner and Rowe were reportedly together throughout his entire tour. Styles’ first solo tour recently came to an end after a successful round of 89 shows. The singer posted a thank you to his fans on Instagram just after the tour ended to commemorate the end of the era.
DEMI LOVATO’S ‘SOBER’ BACK ON THE CHARTS – (08/01/2018)
Following news of her overdose and hospitalization, Demi Lovato’s “Sober” has re-entered the Hot 100 chart at No. 56, according to Billboard. It had previously reached No. 58 on July 7th, not long after it was released.
The song has seen a 199% increase in streams, and a more than 1,000% increase in downloads since the July 24th incident, which saw Demi rushed to the hospital after overdosing at her Hollywood Hills home.
“Sober,” which Demi described as “my truth,” was how she chose to announce that, after six years of sobriety, she’d fallen off the wagon.
Meanwhile, Demi’s other current single, “Solo” – a collaboration with Clean Bandit – has risen to No. 61 on the Hot 100.
Demi is reportedly experiencing “complications” and remains hospitalized. Those complications include “nausea, vomiting and a high fever,” sources say.
Although she’s expected to “make a full recovery,” there is no estimate as to when she will be released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
