NICKI MINAJ ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT – (09/06/2019)

Nicki Minaj says it’s about that time to close the curtains. The rapper took to Twitter on Thursday (September 5th) to announce that she is retiring from the rap game. She wrote, “I’ve decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now. To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me, in the box- cuz ain’t nobody checkin me. Love you for LIFE.”
 
Nicki’s fans went into an emotional frenzy after she announced the news. One fan wrote, “This sh*t terrifies me.” 

Another said, “THIS AINT FUNNY ONIKA.” 

Nicki has been very vocal about wanting to start a family. According to Rap-Up, the rapper and her boyfriend Kenneth Petty obtained their marriage license in Beverly Hills back in July. The couple reportedly plans to wed this year.

HARRY STYLES TURNED DOWN PRINCE ERIC ROLE IN ‘THE LITTLE MERMAID’ TO FOCUS ON MUSIC: Fans were crushed when Harry Styles turned down the role of Prince Eric in ABC’s upcoming live-action remake of The Little Mermaid. But he had a good reason for saying no. In a new interview with The Face, Harry says he wants to focus on his own music right now rather than acting. “It was discussed,” he says of the Disney role. “I want to put music out and focus on that for a while. But everyone involved in it was amazing, so I think it’s going to be great. I’ll enjoy watching it, I’m sure.”

KEVIN HART’S TRIAL IS DELAYED, FUTURE FILM PROJECTS UNCERTAIN – (09/06/2019)

Kevin Hart is recuperating from a horrific car accident over Labor Day weekend, prompting a delay in a $7 million court battle with ex-business partners, Stand Up Digital. According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Hart has asked the judge to push back the start date, which was scheduled for September 9th. Stand Up Digital did not have any objection.

Stand Up will reportedly hold a conference on October 1st to update the judge. 

Meanwhile, more details of his accident have been released. In audio obtained by TMZ, a woman who identifies herself as Eniko Parrish, Hart’s wife, calls 911 seeking help in the moments after the crash. 

“I don’t know what happened,” the caller says. “He’s just here. He’s not coherent at all.”

She said the accident happened shortly before outside of their gated community and that he couldn’t move. Hart and the driver, Jared Black, sustained injuries that required hospitalization. Black was determined by police to not be under the influence of alcohol.

On Sunday, Hart reportedly underwent spinal surgery to deal with three fractures and is in severe pain, but is expected to make a full recovery. 

Still, the rehab is expected to be long and hard. TMZ reports that he just wrapped two big movies, Fatherhood and Jumanji: The Next Level, just days before he got into the accident. But other movies are up in the air now, including My Own Worst Enemy, a project he was supposed to star in and produce. Sources tells TMZ that the schedule will be affected for the film; TBD how and if he’ll even be able to appear in the movie.

DID BELLA HADID JUST CONFIRM GIGI AND TAYLOR’S RELATIONSHIP? – (09/06/2019)

Bachelor Nation is shook after Bella Hadid essentially confirmed her sister Gigi Hadid’s relationship with Bachelorette runner-up Tyler Cameron. Did she release a statement? Nope, she just followed him on Instagram.

Which, the masses muse, surely means they’re serious because would you follow a sibling’s random hook up? He added credence to the rumor by appearing by Gigi’s side at her grandmother’s funeral in the Netherlands. Bella, their brother Anwar Hadid and his girlfriend Dua Lipa were there, along with their mother, Yolanda Hadid. 

This also wouldn’t be the first time an A-lister ended up with a member of BN. Modern Family star Sarah Hyland is engaged to Wells Adams.
