TAYLOR SWIFT’S STAPLES CENTER BANNER TO BE COVERED DURING L.A. KINGS GAMES – (10/14/2019)
Fans have requested that Taylor Swift‘s face banner be covered at the Staples Center during Los Angeles Kings games — and the team has obliged. According to The LA Times, the pro hockey team announced the news this past weekend and a marketing rep said that fans just weren’t happy about the banner. Michael Altieri said, “The connection to our fans is our highest priority and through our engagement they have made it clear that the banner shouldn’t be part of their Kings game experience.”
He added, “We didn’t see an issue in covering it for our games and in fact see it as an opportunity to show our fans that we hear them.”
In addition, apparently fans think that the banner is bad luck for the team and is the cause of them not winning a playoff series since it went up in 2015.
Meanwhile, The Lakers has revealed that they have no plans to cover Taylor’s banner and The Clippers have already been covering the banner during their games.

RIHANNA DEFENDS ‘VOGUE’ REPORTER WHO ‘WINGED’ THEIR INTERVIEW – (10/14/2019)
STATIONS: Please note the following story contains language that could be considered offensive to your audience.
Rihanna is defending the reporter who wrote the cover story for her interview with Vogue magazine. Apparently, the writer, Abby Aguirre, admitted that she was not prepared for the interview and had to wing it, which resulted in much backlash. Per Vogue magazine, “Normally I bring a list of questions, but I didn’t have time to prepare one, which I make a split-second decision to confess. ‘I’m winging it, so you have to help me,’ I say nervously. Rihanna flashes a grin that is somehow both reassuring and mischievous. ‘Aren’t we all?’ she says.”
She went on to explain that the interview had been pushed up on short notice and she didn’t have time to come up with a list of questions. Aguirre tweeted, “GUYS. I was driving to Trader Joe’s in sweatpants when I got the call and literally had to flip a b*tch. I research my subjects to death. *Especially* Rihanna. I appreciate the anger behind the reaction. But this is a misunderstanding, for which I take full responsibility. I had literally no notice. The point was to convey how nerve-wracking this was, given my deep, bordering-on-psychotic reverence for Rihanna.”
Rihanna has since praised the reporter, calling her “gangster” for not needing to prepare for the interview. She told WWD, “No, no, no, no. That’s gangster. For you to get a call the day before being like, ‘Hey, Rihanna’s in L.A., you wanna do this?’ And show up on the dime and write an incredible article that I’m really proud of and enjoyed reading? She’s bada— for that.”
Rih added, “If you don’t have to prepare, girl, you’re gangster.”
