TAYLOR SWIFT RELEASES NEW ‘CATS’ SONG ‘BEAUTIFUL GHOSTS’; SAYS SCOOTER BRAUN & SCOTT BORCHETTA WON’T LET HER PERFORM HER OLD MUSIC AT AMAS – (11/15/2019)

Taylor Swift has released a new song she performs from the upcoming Cats movie titled “Beautiful Ghosts.”

Swift uploaded a snippet of the song to Twitter and announced that it would be released at midnight. “Follow me home, if you dare to,” Swift sings in the teaser.

“Beautiful Ghosts” is written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Swift. “Cats” is an adaptation of Webber’s Broadway musical of the same name which is based on author T.S. Eliot’s book Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats. It is set to arrive in theaters on December 20th.

Swift will be portraying Bombalurina in the film alongside Jennifer Hudson as Grizabella, Francesca Hayward as Victoria, Idris Elba as Macavity, Ian McKellen as Gus, Rebel Wilson as Jennyanydots, Judi Dench as Old Deuteronomy, James Corden as Bustopher Jones and Jason Derulo as Rum Tum Tugger.

On Wednesday Swift released a remix of “Lover” featuring Sam Mendes along with a lyric video.

Meanwhile, Swift has written an open letter to her fans claiming that music producer Scooter Braun and Big Machine Records CEO Scott Borchetta will not allow her to perform her old music at the American Music Awards on November 24th.

Taylor is being honored later with the Artist of the Decade Award at the 2019 American Music Awards and she planned on performing “a medley of [her] hits throughout the decade on the show.” Taylor says that Scooter and Scott will not let her perform her “old songs on television because they claim that would be re-recording my music before [she is] allowed to next year.”

In the open letter, Taylor also revealed that she has a Netflix documentary in the works and the duo also will not let her use “older music or performance footage for this project, even though there is no mention of either of them or Big Machine Records anywhere in the film.”

Taylor launched her career on Big Machine Records and the label owns the master recordings to all of the music featured on her first six albums. Big Machine was bought by Scooter for $300 million earlier this year. Swift decided to leave the label and release her new album Lover with Republic Records, where she will own her masters moving forward.

Taylor is now asking her fans to let Scooter, Scott, and the other artists they work with (like Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and Demi Lovato) “know how you feel about this.”

Fans promptly began doxxing the pair, publishing what appear to be Braun and Borchetta’s private contact information – including phone numbers and a physical home address – on Twitter.

DISNEY+ PULLS SIMPSONS EPISODE? The full Simpsons library is available for the first time on Disney+, but a popular, and infamous, episode has been held back. Stark Raving Dad, from 1991, is not available, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Observers suspected that the show was nixed because Michael Jackson guest-starred as Leon Kompowsky, a man Homer meets in a mental institution. In March of this year, the episode was pulled from circulation following the release of HBO’s Leaving Neverland, in which Jackson was accused of molesting multiple boys. Jackson’s estate has denied the allegations.

KELLY CLARKSON DIDN’T KNOW THE JONAS BROTHERS OPENED FOR HER IN 2005 – (11/15/2019)

Kelly Clarkson had no idea that the Jonas Brothers opened for her in 2005.

During The Kelly Clarkson Show Thursday, Kelly admitted to guest Nick Jonas that she had no recollection of the sibling trio being her opening act. “I feel like I just got really cool,” she said.

But Nick revealed that they kind of exaggerated the gig in order to book more shows. “No one cared about us in 2005, we were just coming up,” he explained. “And basically to get other gigs, we listed the other acts that we’d opened up for, but that really just meant that we were on, like, the outside stage in the parking lot while you were playing for 40,000 people.” “But you helped us get a lot of other gigs after that, so thank you,” he added.

The Jonas Brothers are out now on their own headlining Happiness Begins tour.

During the interview, Clarkson and Jonas also discuss Nick’s new role on The Voice, where he’s set to join Clarkson, John Legend and Blake Shelton as a coach for Season 18.

“I’m gonna kick your tail,” Clarkson told Jonas.

“That’s not true. Incorrect. I’m not gonna clap for that,” Jonas insists, before revealing that filming has already gotten underway with the blind auditions.
