ED SHEERAN & MORE SUPPORT MENTAL HEALTH CAMPAIGN #IAMWHOLE – (11/20/2018)

Ed Sheeran performed while supporting the mental health campaign #IAMWHOLE Music 4 Mental Health on Sunday at Camden Roundhouse in London, England. Other stars who performed at the event included James Arthur, Ella Eyre, and Olly Murs.

The #IAMWHOLE campaign aims to encourage young people to challenge harmful language and negative stigma surrounding mental health and encourage others to speak out and seek help.

James wrote, “The subject of mental health is something very close to my heart and to get the opportunity to join forces with all of these talented and influential people on one night was a dream come true and a huge step forward in removing the stigma attached to mental health. Remember it’s ok not to be ok! Let’s start talking!”

LADY GAGA HASN’T BEEN ABLE TO RETURN HOME AFTER WILD FIRE: Lady Gaga says she likely won’t be back in her home until after some time, following the devastating Woolsey fire that tore through her Malibu neighborhood. The singer said at Sunday night’s Academy Governor’s Awards that thankfully, her house was spared, though parts of her property were damaged. “I am so grateful for the firefighters who put [the fires] out,” she said. “It’s still so smoky. I’m not sure when we could go back,” she added. “But I’m grateful. So grateful.” Other houses in her neighborhood were not as lucky and were either damaged or completely destroyed. Since being evacuated, Gaga has shown her support for other evacuees by bringing food and supplies to various shelters.

SZA, HAYLEY KIYOKO TO JOIN ARIANA GRANDE AS HONOREES AT BILLBOARD’S WOMEN IN MUSIC GALA: Following the news that Ariana Grande, Cyndi Lauper and Janelle Monáe will be receiving awards at this year’s Billboard Women in Music Event, Billboard has announced additional honorees. SZA, who was featured on Maroon 5’s hit “What Lovers Do,” will receive the Rule Breaker Award, given to a “female artist who uses her music and platform to defy traditional industry expectations and advance a powerful message for young people today.” Hayley Kiyoko will receive the Rising Star Award, which recognizes “an up-and-coming artist whose cultural impact and exceptional talent have demonstrated a clear path to success.” Country star Kacey Musgraves, who just won the CMA Album of the Year trophy for her release Golden Hour, will receive the Innovator award, given to an artist who “challenges musical convention, creates positive change and contributes new ideas both within and outside of her creative work.” As previously reported, Ariana Grande is Billboard’s Woman of the Year. The Woman in Music gala will be held December 6th in New York City.

LEBRON JAMES’ SPACE JAM 2 TO FILM IN CALIFORNIA: The Warner Bros. sequel Space Jam 2 is one of a number of big-budget features opting to film in Hollywood recently. Space Jam 2, and several other, including Andy Samberg‘s Palm Springs, Universal‘s Marry Me and 24/7, Lionsgate’s Margaritaville and 20th Century Fox’s The Boy Who Knew Too Much and Mouse Guard—will take part in the state’s tax credit incentives program. 

NIALL HORAN TO RELEASE LIVE ORCHESTRAL ALBUM – (11/21/2018)

It looks like Niall Horan will become the first member of One Direction to release a second solo album.

On Twitter, Niall wrote, “Earlier this year, I had the honour of recording some tracks from [my album] Flicker with a 45-piece orchestra in Dublin. I’m delighted to announce the release of Flicker feat. The RTÉ Concert Orchestra on 7th December.”

He added that the album will be available on CD in all record stores in his home country of Ireland, and on his website, NiallHoran.com.

Niall’s debut solo album Flicker came out in 2017 and hit No. 1 on the chart. While speaking on George Ezra’s podcast, Niall revealed that he’s hoping to channel the “funky sexiness” of his hit song “Slow Hands.” “That’s what I’ll aim for next time, not so much electric but that bit of dirt; yeah, dirt is the word,” Niall shared. He also shared that he’s looking to Coldplay for some inspiration with the record too.

Harry Styles and former One Direction member Zayn Malik have also released No. 1 solo albums. Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson have yet to release a solo album.

DAVID GUETTA, BEBE REXHA & J BALVIN DEBUT ‘SAY MY NAME’ OFFICIAL VIDEO – (11/21/2018)

David Guetta teams up with Bebe Rexha and J Balvin in the official music video for their rising collaboration, “Say My Name.”

The track is the latest single from the French DJ’s seventh studio album 7, released back in September. The double-record features an array of collaborations with artists including Nicki Minaj, Jason Derulo, Willy William, G-Eazy, Charli XCX and Lil Uzi Vert.

“Say My Name” recently surpassed the mark of 100 million global streams. The music video was directed by Hannah Lux Davis.

Guetta has also shared clips for “Don’t Leave Me Alone,” featuring Anne-Marie, “Flames,” featuring Sia and “2U,” featuring Justin Bieber.
