JUSTIN BIEBER ANNOUNCES NEW SINGLE, ALBUM AND 2020 TOUR – (12/26/2019)
Justin Bieber has announced a new album, tour and single in a YouTube video.
The first single drops January 3rd and a North American tour begins May 14th. In the video, Bieber alludes to his past mistakes and says that his current place in life informs his new music.
Bieber has spoken about drug use and mental health struggles. He shared in an Instagram post September 3rd that he began using drugs at 19. He is now 25 and married to Hailey Baldwin.
The video includes clips of two songs. “Could you be here with me forever, ever, ever,” goes one song. “Every time I go the wrong way, turn me back around. Had a right to take my chance with you instead. Do you second that emotion? You really got me your way.”
The song Bieber plans to release January 3rd is called “Yummy.” The chorus repeats the single word frequently, with a verse leading up to it. “When you come around me, do me like you miss me even though you’ve been with me,” Bieber sings.
The video also announces 45 tour dates in the U.S. and Canada between May 14th and September 26th. The video does not give a release date for the album.
Bieber will also star in a docuseries set to premiere December 31st. It’s unclear on which platform or channel the series will stream or air, though Bieber’s YouTube channel says more info will be released December 31st.

THE TOP-EARNING MUSICIANS OF THE DECADE – (12/26/2019)
Forbes has released a list of the top-earning musicians of the last 10 years, and legendary producer-rapper Dr. Dre is sitting comfortably at No. 1. Since 2010, Dre has reportedly earned a cool $950 million, putting him ahead of the likes of Taylor Swift (at No. 2 with $825 million), Beyoncé (who is No. 3 with $685 million) and more.
The earnings weren’t really from music – considering Dre only released one album in that time frame (2015’s Compton) and as Forbes noted, he hasn’t produced on a No. 1 record since Eminem’s “Crack a Bottle” in 2009. Instead, a majority of Dre’s earnings came from his approximately 20% stake in Beats. The $3 billion Apple acquisition of the company in 2014 helped out as well.
Following Dre in the No. 2 spot is Swift, who decade’s worth of albums, partnerships and touring earned her a whopping $825 million, according to Forbes, and she was 2019’s highest-paid celebrity.
Next in line is Beyoncé, whose $685 million estimate is a bit above her husband, JAY-Z, who sits at the No. 7 spot with $560 million.
The ranking doesn’t include earnings among the estates of deceased artists, but Forbes notes that if postmortem profits were accounted for, Michael Jackson would easily outdo everyone alive with a figure of $2.37 billion.

MILEY CYRUS & LIAM HEMSWORTH REACH DIVORCE SETTLEMENT: Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have worked out the details of their divorce. The 27-year-old singer’s lawyer filed legal documents on Tuesday declaring that she and the 29-year-old actor have reached a settlement in their divorce. The news comes just one day after what would have been their one-year wedding anniversary. The divorce ultimately went quick and easy, as they don’t have any kids, Miley will be keeping all of their pets, and they had a prenup in place. Liam filed for divorce from Miley back in August, citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce won’t become final until six months after filing, meaning they should both be legally single by March. Miley is currently dating Cody Simpson while Liam has recently been linked to model Gabriella Brooks.

ARIANA GRANDE, KATY PERRY AND MORE GIVE MARIAH CAREY THE BEST CHRISTMAS GIFT EVER – (12/24/2019)
Mariah Carey’s 1994 hit “All I Want For Christmas Is You” celebrated its 25th anniversary with its first No. 1 placement on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
To commemorate the iconic single’s big day, a slew of stars – including Ariana Grande, Katy Perry, Jennifer Hudson, Kim Kardashian, Trevor Noah, Kerry Washington, James Corden and more – participated in a video to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the song. The clip kicks off with an introduction from Tyler Perry, after which all the celebs take turns lip syncing along to the track.
“WOW! This is one of the best Christmas gifts I could ever have gotten,” Mariah tweeted after seeing the clip. “I am so thankful to all of my friends and favorite artists who participated in this video. You brought a huge smile to my face. THANK YOU!”
The video also features appearances by Mariah’s twins, Moroccan and Monroe, as well as her boyfriend, Bryan Tanaka.
“All I Want for Christmas Is You” just logged its second week at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It first hit No. 1 last week, making it the first holiday song to top that chart in 60 years.
Meanwhile, at No. 2 on the Hot 100 this week is Brenda Lee’s Christmas classic, “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.” This marks the first time that the No. 1 and No. 2 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 are both Christmas hits.
“Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” was originally released in 1958 but first charted in 1960. Last week, when it rose to No. 3, it set a record for the longest climb into the top five: 59 years and nine days. Lee recorded her hit version when she was just 13-years-old, in 1958. She turned 75 on December 12th.
In addition to those two holiday hits, there are two other classic songs in the Top 10: Burl Ives’ “A Holly Jolly Christmas” at No. 6, and Bobby Helms’ “Jingle Bell Rock” at No. 9.

“Thank u, swt. ‘k bye for now (swt live)’ out now. love u,” Grande tweeted Monday, along with a link to the website where digital copies of the record could be purchased.

There’s even a brief version of the Cole Porter standard, “My Heart Belongs to Daddy.”
The tour finale was an emotional one for Grande. The singer, 26, was recorded by fans bursting into tears as she gave a farewell address to fans. “This would not have gone the way it did without you and I love you so much,” she said. “Thank you for traveling around the world to see me. I know some of you guys flew all over the (expletive) place to see me. Like, what? Why? What? Thank you. And why? I love you. This has been amazing. Thank you so much.”

Grande’s manager, Scooter Braun, met her backstage after the show to give her a hug. The music exec wrote a lengthy Instagram post Sunday congratulating the pop star and crediting her with the idea to put out a live album.
“You did it. I know all the hard nights. I know all the pain and the struggle. You not only did it… you found your joy again with the fans night after night. You found your joy in your family and friends. You found your joy in your music. Just stay nice and say prayers.” Just last month, Demi and Austin made their relationship Instagram official with two cute pics. BEHIND THE CHANNING TATUM AND JESSIE J SPLIT – (12/24/2019)
Channing Tatum and Jessie J’s romance was doomed due to bad timing, People reports. A source spills: “He is super busy with his career and as a dad. He has a world awaiting him and is trying to manage how busy he is which isn’t easy.”
The pair got together in October of 2018 after Tatum split from ex-wife Jennie Dewan, with whom he shares Everly.
“He has a lot on his plate right now and wants to be the best dad possible which means he needs to be around when he isn’t traveling for his own work,” says the source.
J recently admitted that because they were connected in the press before their romance had really gotten off the ground, it added extra pressure. She told U.K.’s The Times: “Chan and I got photographed before our relationship was even a thing and that created such pressure.”

JUSTIN BIEBER TEASES NEW MUSIC: Justin Bieber has posted on social media several repetitions of the number “2020” – as in next year – and captioned them, “December 24, December 31, January 3 … #2020.” It could mean that Justin’s planning to drop a song on Christmas Eve, one on New Year’s Eve, and then another one on January 3rd, or maybe he means he’s going to release an entire album January 3rd. Or it may mean something else entirely. Justin’s most recent album, Purpose, came out in 2015. Since then, he’s released a slew of stand-alone singles and collaborations, most recently “10,000 Hours” with Dan + Shay.
CODY SIMPSON & MILEY CYRUS SPARK BREAK UP RUMORS – (12/23/2019)

“A sad Christmas song I wrote a few years back right before the holidays. Was feeling like sh-t cause I couldn’t be with the one I loved. Even with a house full of family and friends I still felt alone,” she wrote.
“In ways that still feels relevant and someone reading this right now could possibly relate!” Miley added. “If you feel lonely this season just know YOU ARE COMPLETELY MADE OF MAGIC! You are as special as a snowflake , beautifully unique and I hope inside your soul feels light, hope , peace , and joy knowing how singularly amazing YOU are! Love always wins! 🎄”
