ALICIA KEYS RETURNING AS HOST OF GRAMMYS 2020: Alicia Keys is going to be hosting the 2020 Grammys. The 38-year-old entertainer will be returning to host the music awards show for the second year in a row. “At first, I did think last year was a one-time thing, but when the opportunity came back around, there was no question about returning as host,” Alicia said. “Last year was such a powerful experience for me. Not only did I feel the love in the room, but I felt it from around the world and it confirmed the healing and unifying power of music.” The nominations for the upcoming awards show will be announced on November 20th. The 2020 Grammys will take place on January 26th and will broadcast live on CBS from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
DEMI LOVATO, BOYFRIEND AUSTIN WILSON GO INSTAGRAM OFFICIAL – (11/14/2019)
Demi Lovato and her boyfriend, Austin Wilson, have made their relationship Instagram official.
The 27-year-old singer and 25-year-old model confirmed dating rumors by sharing photos together on Instagram. Lovato posted a black-and-white mirror selfie that shows Wilson putting his arm around her and kissing her on the cheek. “My [heart],” she captioned the post.
Wilson also shared a mirror selfie that shows him putting his arms around Lovato. “My love,” he wrote.
Wilson was friends with Lovato’s friend Thomas Trussell III, who died in October after a battle with addiction. He is Lovato’s first official boyfriend since she was hospitalized for a drug overdose in July 2018. Lovato reflected on her personal struggles and her newfound self-love at the Teen Vogue summit last week.
“I love the person that I am today,” the star said. “What I see in the mirror [is] someone that’s overcome a lot,” she added. “I’ve been through a lot and I genuinely see a fighter. I don’t see a championship winner in there, but I see a fighter and someone who is going to continue to fight no matter [what] challenges are thrown their way.”

DISNEY+ APP DOWNLOADED 3.2M TIMES: The Disney+ app was downloaded 3.2 million times, in the first 24 hours after its November 12th launch, according to Apptopia. In comparison, Netflix’s app was downloaded 662,000 times globally.
JONAH HAUER-KING SNAGGED TO STAR IN THE LITTLE MERMAID: Jonah Hauer-King has landed the role of Prince Eric in Disney’s live-action remake of the Disney classic The Little Mermaid. Halle Bailey has been cast as Ariel, Melissa McCarthy as Ursula and Javier Bardem as King Triton. Jacob Tremblay, meanwhile, will voice Flounder, while Awkwafina will voice Scuttle and Daveed Diggs will voice Sebastian. Rob Marshall has signed on to direct.
JAY-Z REPORTEDLY HAD ‘SOME INFLUENCE’ IN COLIN KAEPERNICK’S NFL WORKOUT – (11/14/2019)
JAY-Z might have had a hand in Colin Kaepernick reuniting with the NFL. NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport revealed that JAY had some influence in the former 49ers quarterback working out with the NFL this weekend.
While breaking down Kaepernick’s upcoming workout, Rapoport said, “Two notes: 1. Jay-Z, a partner with the NFL on social justice, had some influence here. 2. This is not part of Kaepernick’s settlement, nor did he ask for this in his settlement.”
He also said, “I am also told that JAY-Z—who has been working with the NFL on some social justice initiatives—was involved in this and pushed this idea to some extent.”
Meanwhile, Kaeperick tweeted about the workout, “I’m just getting word from my representatives that the NFL league office reached out to them about a workout in Atlanta on Saturday. I’ve been in shape and ready for this for 3 years, can’t wait to see the head coaches and GMs on Saturday.”
JAY-Z announced his music and social justice partnership with the NFL in August.

JOHN LEGEND IS PEOPLE’S SEXIEST MAN ALIVE 2019 – (11/13/2019)
John Legend has been named People’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2019.
The news was revealed during the latest episode of The Voice when Blake Shelton, the 2017 Sexiest Man Alive, passed on the torch to his fellow coach. Legend thanked Shelton on the television show.
“I sat next to him for the last few months and I learned his sexy ways,” Legend said. “I observed every move he made, every utterance that came from his mouth and I think some of it rubbed off on me.”
John told People about his reaction to earning the special title. “I was excited, but I was a little scared at the same time because it’s a lot of pressure,” he said. “Everyone’s going to be picking me apart to see if I’m sexy enough to hold this title. I’m [also] following Idris Elba, which is not fair and is not nice to me!”
Elba tweeted his congratulations to Legend, but admonished him not to tell Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson that he had won, saying the star “still thinks he’s got the title.”
Legend is People’s 34th Sexiest Man Alive, joining a long list of Hollywood’s hottest, starting with a then-29-year-old Mel Gibson in 1985.
One person who was particularly thrilled about the news is Legend’s wife, Chrissy Teigen. She took to Twitter and, with her characteristic humor, congratulated her husband. “my secret is out. I have fulfilled my dream of having boned @people’s sexiest man alive!! an honor!!!!!”
Legend became the first black male to become an EGOT (winner of an Emmy award, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony) in 2018.

SELENA GOMEZ GETS MATCHING TATTOOS WITH JULIA MICHAELS – (11/13/2019)
Selena Gomez and Julia Michaels just made their friendship permanent.
The BFFs and collaborators got matching tattoos and shared a kiss, all in one night. Gomez took to Instagram on Tuesday to reveal that she and Michaels got matching arrow tattoos on their thumbs.
“It’s tatted.. my arrow points to you forever,” Selena wrote on her Instagram Stories, alongside a photo of she and Julia sharing a sweet moment together at the tattoo shop.
The two longtime pals performed Julia’s latest single, “Anxiety” Monday during the concert stop at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles on Julia’s Inner Monologue tour.
After the performance, Julia took to Instagram to thank Selena, “I’m kind of convinced these last few days aren’t real. Thank you @selenagomez for the most epic headline show I’ve ever played. I love you beyond words and I’m so happy we finally got to sing our baby together :)”

SHAWN MENDES AND CAMILA CABELLO MAKE OUT DURING NBA GAME: Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello packed on some major PDA during a very public date night on Monday. The couple was spotted locking lips courtside at an L.A. Clippers game as their fellow fans watched the team take on the Toronto Raptors inside the Staples Center. An eyewitness told Hollywood Life, “They were asked to do the ‘Kiss Cam’, but declined.” Even so, “They were making out all night, weren’t really interested in the game and rarely watched it.”
EMINEM ADDRESSES LEAKED RECORD FEATURING RIHANNA DISS – (11/13/2019)
Eminem has opened up about his leaked record, which disses Rihanna. According to Rap-Up, a seven-second snippet of the song, titled “Things Get Worse,” surfaced the net last week before leaking in full over the weekend.
On the record, Eminem speaks of Chris Brown’s assault on his then-girlfriend Rihanna. He raps, “Of course I side with Chris Brown, I’d beat a b*tch down too.”
Eminem’s publicist, Dennis Dennehy, has spoken on the track and said to The Guardian in a statement, “This is a leak of something that’s over 10 years old. After Eminem recorded it, he scrapped it, and rewrote it. Obviously he and Rihanna have a great relationship.”

RICKY GERVAIS TO HOST: Speaking of the Golden Globes, Ricky Gervais has signed onto host. “Once again, they’ve made me an offer I can’t refuse,” said Gervais of the host job for the three-hour show. “But this is the very last time I’m doing this, which could make for a fun evening.” Gervais hosted in 2010, 2011 and 2012, before handing things over to Tina Fey and Amy Poehler for three years. He returned in 2016, and was followed by Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers and then Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh.

DRAKE GETS BOO’D AT TYLER, THE CREATOR’S CAMP FLOG GNAW CARNIVAL – (11/12/2019)

Drake ended his surprise performance at Tyler, the Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival this past weekend after receiving boo’s from the crowd. According to Rap-Up, Drizzy was one of the unannounced guests during Sunday’s (November 10th) headlining set at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. The outlet reports that many fans were hoping to see Frank Ocean perform, but instead, there were surprises from A$AP Rocky, Lil Uzi Vert, and Drake.
Drake hit the stage with is 2013 single “Started From the Bottom,” then performed “Feel No Ways.” The Toronto rapper said, “I’m doing this for my brother Tyler, who started this [event] from nothing. That’s not easy. Tonight, I felt like I had to touch this stage because I’m proud of my brothers, I’m proud of you.”
However, things appear to have went left after Drake performed “Wu-Tang Forever.” He told the crowd, “Flog Gnaw, make some noise for yourself tonight. I’m here for you tonight. If you want to keep going, I will keep going tonight. What’s up?” Some of the audience began to boo, while others yelled “No.” Drake then said, “If you want to keep going. I will keep going tonight.”
The screams intensified before he cut his set short, 20 minutes before it was scheduled to end. Before exiting the stage, Drake said, “If you want to keep going. I will keep going tonight.”
Shortly after, the crowd was heard chanting, “We Want Frank.”
Following the incident, members of the hip-hop community took to social media to share their support for Drake. Kehlani said, “Drake handled that [situation] so raw. Respect.” Dreamville’s J.I.D. also said, “I thought we collectively loved Drake, wat y’all doing?”
TYLER, THE CREATOR RESPONDS
Tyler, the Creator took to Twitter Monday afternoon (November 11th) and addressed Drake being booed at his event. He wrote, “I THOUGHT BRINGING ONE OF THE BIGGEST ARTIST ON THE F**KING PLANET TO A MUSIC FESTIVAL WAS FIRE! BUT FLIPSIDE, A LIL TONE DEAF KNOWING THE SPECIFIC CROWD IT DREW. SOME CREATED A NARRATIVE IN THEIR HEAD AND ACTED OUT LIKE A**HOLES WHEN IT DIDNT COME TRUE AND I DONT F**K WITH THAT.”
He continued, “THIS N***A DID FEEL NO WAYS! SONG IS BEAUTIFUL. ALSO, MOSTLY EVERYONE WAS HAVING A GREAT TIME, THOSE SH*TS IN THE FRONT AREA WERE THE ONES BEING MAD RUDE, WHICH, I CAN SEE WHY, BUT, NAH, F**K THAT, YALL REPRESENTED ME AND FLOG TO MY GUEST AND MADE US LOOK SOOO ENTITLED AND TRASH. THAT SH*T WAS LIKE MOB MENTALITY AND CANCEL CULTURE IN REAL LIFE AND I THINK THAT SH*T IS F**KING TRASH. N***A DID FEEL NO WAYS! THAT SONG IS BEAUTIFUL! MOST GUYS DONT DO ALBUM CUTS! DRAKE ALLEGEDLY REACTS TO INCIDENT
On another note, DJ Akademiks claims that Drake isn’t letting the incident bother him. The Everyday Struggle host tweeted, “Drake is taking it in stride tho… he told me personally regarding the camp flog gnaw performance it’s a ‘moment of humility which is always welcomed.’ He also added ‘was just not my night. Wasn’t who they wanted to see.’”
HARLEY-DAVIDSON TEAMS UP WITH KATY PERRY FOR ‘HARLEYS IN HAWAII’ SONG – (11/12/2019)
Harley-Davidson teamed up with Katy Perry on her new song, “Harleys In Hawaii” and it should prove to be quite a coup for the company.
The music video has more than 14 million views on YouTube. According to the New York Times, Harley did not pay for the musical endorsement – but they did provide the motorcycles.
Katy mentions the motorcycle brand six times and she rides a hog in the music video. The publicity’s value could be “upwards of $40 million” to Harley-Davidson before taking Spotify streams and social media posts tagged #HarleysinHawaii into account, an influencer marketing executive told the Times.
The product placement is a coup for Harley-Davidson, given Perry has over 100 million Twitter followers and 80 million Instagram followers, and it cost the company next to nothing, the Times reported.
Perry has released a new vertical video for “Harleys in Hawaii,” making the single’s album artwork come to life as she sit atop a motorcycle, donning her multicolored floral turtleneck dress, black headband and white-and-yellow floral statement earrings.
Unlike the “Harleys in Hawaii” music video she premiered with the single on its original October 16th release, Perry’s latest visual shows off her solo venture.

LADY GAGA THROWS SHADE AT HER OWN ALBUM ‘ARTPOP’ – (11/12/2019)
On Artpop’s sixth birthday, Lady Gaga took to social media to claim she actually doesn’t remember the 2013 record.
Fans have been divided on ARTPOP for years and now the singer herself just threw some shade at her own music. The 33-year-old singer took to Twitter on Monday afternoon with a comment that left many of her fans upset, hurt and betrayed.
“i don’t remember ARTPOP,” Gaga tweeted.
Some of the immediate responses to the tweet include, “take that back or you won’t see Asia for another 6 months,” “and now the gays suddenly don’t remember lady gaga,” and “And some of us choose to not remember Joanne!”
While some people were not huge fans of the ARTPOP album, there are many Little Monsters who considered the album to be among her best work. The album featured beloved cuts including “Applause” and “Venus.”

HILARIA BALDWIN REVEALS SECOND MISCARRIAGE: Hilaria Baldwin revealed the sad news that she suffered a second miscarriage. “We are very sad to share that today we learned that our baby passed away at 4 months,” Hilaria, who has four children with husband Alec Baldwin, announced on Instagram Monday night. She was four months pregnant. They were expecting a girl. Hilaria also suffered a miscarriage in April. (Page Six)
