THE JONAS BROTHERS MAKE A SURPRISE VISIT TO FAN IN CHEMOTHERAPY – (09/02/2019)
When a fan could not make it to the show Saturday due to chemotherapy, The Jonas Brothers took a detour on their way to Hershey Park Stadium, stopping by the hospital to visit her.
Lily Jordan, the teenage girl undergoing treatment at Penn Station Hospital, was surprised when the band walked into her room. They proceeded to ask if she had a favorite song they could dedicate to her, to which she replied, “Definitely S.O.S. That’s my favorite.”
Hours before the Jonas Brothers showed up, Jordan shared a post on Instagram that caught the eye of many users, including congressman Scott Perry. The post read “@jonasbrothers I was supposed to be at you Hershey concert tomorrow but instead I’m across the street doing chemo,” and continued, “If y’all wanted to pop in I’ll give you my room.”
After Perry shared the post, asking the Jonas Brothers to visit, it caught their attention just in time.
Jordan, who also happened to be a big Game of Thrones fan, also took the opportunity to give a gift that she had for the Sophie Turner, wife of Joe Jonas. Before their time was up in her room, she gave Joe a bracelet to pass onto the star, saying, “I love her so much, so I wanted to give her that.”

TAYLOR SWIFT REACTS TO KEITH URBAN’S COVER OF “LOVER” – (09/02/2019)
Keith Urban won over the crowd, and, apparently, Taylor Swift, too, at the Washington State Fair on Saturday night, where he performed a cover of Swift’s new song “Lover”. After he walked off stage, the video was shared with his comment, “Every now and then you hear a song that you love and wish you’d written…” to which Swift responded by sharing with the caption “Keith Urban covering Lover flawlessly” to over 121 million followers. “I am screaming,” she said, “This is so beautiful.”
The song comes from Swift’s seventh album, which is the top selling of 2019. In an interview with Good Morning America the singer revealed that “It’s the first one that I will own of my work,” continuing, “My contract says that starting November 2020, so next year, I can record albums one through five all over again, so I’m very excited about it. I just think that artists deserve to own their work. I just feel very passionately about that.”

LADY GAGA AND BOYFRIEND DAN HORTON TURN HEADS AT THE CURE CONCERT – (09/02/2019)As The Cure performed at the Pasadena Daydream Music Festival on Saturday, Lady Gaga and new boyfriend Dan Horton were spotted together enjoying the music and some time with each other. Shortly after being spotted, fans reacted on social media with excitement. Gaga was filmed by her fans while dancing around and the footage quickly went viral.
As for Gaga’s new romance, it was rumored that the two started dating back in July. A source told E! News that “She likes being with one guy and in a relationship and that’s what she was hoping to find.” The source continued, “They are already comfortable because they have worked together for a while. She’s glad the news is out and that she doesn’t have to hide it. She wants to be able to go out and do things with him.”

PITBULL CANCELS L.A. SHOW TO STAY IN FLORIDA: Pitbull cancelled his show Sunday in L.A., so he could stay in Florida and help keep his family safe. He released a statement saying, “Due to Hurricane Dorian’s fast changing weather conditions approaching South Florida and the Eastern Seaboard tonight’s concert has been postponed until September 12. We’re sorry to disappoint fans, but are excited to hit the stage on the new rescheduled date.” (The Blast)
KEVIN HART INVOLVED IN CAR CRASH: Kevin Hart was involved in a car accident in the wee hours of Sunday morning, according to reports. TMZ reports that the 40-year-old suffered major back injuries after his Plymouth Barracuda careened off Malibu’s Mulholland Highway and landed in a ditch. The website obtained a police report stating that he “left the scene to his nearby residence to get medical attention.” He was a passenger and the driver, his pal Jared Black, was reportedly not under the influence. Hart bought the car for himself in honor of his 40th birthday.
KEVIN HART MAY NEED SURGERY: Comedian Kevin Hart has been hospitalized in L.A. after a car accident, but he is expected to make a full recovery, sources tell The Blast. He may need back surgery to fully recover, but Hart did not suffer a spinal cord injury and is “able to walk and move his extremities.” (The Blast)

BILLIE EILISH CALLS OUT ‘NYLON’ FOR BALD COVER STORY – (08/30/2019)

Billie Eilish is calling out Nylon Germany.
The 17-year-old singer commented on the latest issue of the magazine, which was published to Instagram on Thursday and features a bald 3D artwork version of the star.
Billie commented on the post:
“what the f*ck is this sh*t.
booooooooooo to you🖕🏻.”
The magazine has since updated the post with a statement: “For this cover, it was never our intention to create a look that is confusing or insulting to Billie Eilish. It was only ever our intention to honor Billie’s impact and her work by creating this avatar which is part of a cover series highlighting the power of digital prodigy artists. This avatar is a piece of 3D artwork created in dedication to her achievements and the positive effect she has had on millions around the globe – including us.”
The edition of Nylon is focused on three “Digital Prodigies” who are “redefining the future of being a Teen Superstar.”

SHAWN MENDES LAUNCHES THE SHAWN MENDES FOUNDATION – (08/30/2019)
Shawn Mendes has launched The Shawn Mendes Foundation, designed to inspire his fans to advocate for issues important to them and work to bring about positive change in the world.
Shawn says he wants to “make the voices of our generation heard” through the Foundation, which will support a variety of different youth-focused causes in the fields of healthcare, mental health and wellness, human rights, education, anti-bullying and sustainability.
The Foundation’s first two campaigns will benefit SickKids, based in Shawn’s hometown of Toronto, and REVERB. The latter helps artists reduce their environmental footprint and encourages music fans to take action to save the environment. The former is a leading pediatric healthcare institution.
When Shawn plays Rogers Center stadium in Toronto next month, a dollar from each ticket sold, as well as proceeds from Shawn’s partnerships with the Canadian brands Roots and Tim Horton’s, will go to the SickKids Charitable Giving Fund.
In a statement, Shawn said he’s “excited” to launch the foundation, noting, “For a long time, I’ve wanted to find a way to amplify the causes that my fans and I care deeply about, and to help make the voices of our generation heard.”
He adds, “My goal…is to work alongside my fans, and do everything I can to help provide them with a platform that inspires positive change, and empowers young change-makers.”
Shawn is also asking his fans and donors to help him decide which issues to address with future campaigns.
The Foundation will continue to work with charities that Shawn’s supported in the past, including Pencils of Promise, WE Day and March for Our Lives.

Shawn Mendes posted a shirtless photo of himself eating an avocado to Instagram and celebrities from John Mayer to Mike Posner wasted no time in sharing their thoughts on the 21-year-old singer’s sexy snap.
“Avocad-oh u just gonna post sh*t like this and expect my wife not to leave me!” rapper Hoodie Allen wrote in the comments.
“Um…I’m here for the avocado,” Jesse Tyler Ferguson commented, while Emily Osment added a short “hi.”
“If you’re happy I’m happy,” Mayer wrote.
Other celebrities focused on Mendes’ choice of snack. “Suddenly I love avocados,” makeup artist Manny Gutierrez commented, and YouTuber James Charles added, “Wow a man with taste.”
“Avo straight?! W/e come on gains!!!!” model Winnie Harlow wrote.

KERRY WASHINGTON PUBLISHES NUMBER IN BID TO CONNECT WITH (AND MARKET TO) FANS – (08/30/2019)
Kerry Washington is initiating a new way to keep in touch with her fans. While many celebs (Chrissy Teigen, Kim Kardashian) are known and loved for engaging with their fans on social media, few have waded out among the sweaty hordes and given fans carte blanche access to their person. And yes, as one might suspect, there’s also a catch.
Scandal star Washington took the bold step on Thursday of sharing her number, explaining in her message that she missed her fans: “Hi, you guys, so you know how private I am but I am going to do something crazy. I am going to give you my phone number, which I know sounds insane. You know, I posted about this last week. I’ve been missing that TGIT love. We used to come together every Thursday night at the same time and the same place. I would know where you were and you would know where I was and we would talk about stuff that really mattered to us and kind of be in a community together and I want to bring some of that back because I miss you guys.”
She added that social media is “amazing” it can sometimes be hard to “sift through and really connect with the people who matter to you most.”
“So, I’m giving you my number it’s 718-400-7118, shout-out to the boogie down Bronx, and I really want you to text me,” she told her social media followers. “I want you to ask me questions, I’m going to send links like special sneak peaks.”

ED SHEERAN ANNOUNCES HE’S TAKING A LONG BREAK FROM PLAYING LIVE SHOWS – (08/29/2019)
Ed Sheeran is taking an 18-month break after wrapping up his Divide tour, a run he’s been on for almost two years.
Ed announced to the crowd during his final show in Ipswich, England, that he’s taking a much deserved break. “As you may or not know, I’ve been on the Divide tour for over two years now and this is the last day of the whole thing. There is something very bittersweet about it. I love that you guys are here and we are ending it in Ipswich. This is my last gig for probably 18 months,” he told the crowd. “It’s been a wild one.”
He continued, “I was told before I came on that now at the end of this tour I’ve played to nine million people around the world. It is the biggest tour ever.”
“It’s been an emotional day for a lot of people backstage. It kind of feels like, in a weird way, that you’re breaking up with a girlfriend that you’ve been with for years,” he adds. “Thank you to everyone who has given me a chance.”
According to reports, Ed’s tour is on track to earn a record-breaking $750 million, making Sheeran the highest-paid solo musician of 2018.
Sheeran had previously taken time off after wrapping his mammoth x Tour in December 2015 to strengthen his connection with then-girlfriend – now wife – Cherry Seaborn. Sheeran confirmed that he and Seaborn had tied the knot in a video interview posted to his YouTube channel on the same day he dropped his most recent album, No.6 Collaborations Project, in June.

Todrick Hall is spilling on Taylor Swift’s reaction to John Travolta’s VMAs mix up.
During the show, Tavolta presented the award for Video of the Year but when it came time to hand the Moon Person to Taylor, he accidentally tried to hand it to her drag lookalike Jade Jolie.
Todrick, who was an executive producer on the video, says that everyone thought the situation was very funny. “He was so confident that it was her. I loved it!” Todrick said during an appearance on the Jerry O’ show.
He added, “I saw it, and we talked about it backstage. Taylor thought it was hilarious…Everyone knows Jade is the Taylor Swift doppelganger so I think that is the highest compliment he could have paid her.”
RuPaul’s Drag Race star Jade Jolie posted about the moment on Instagram, joking, “Almost got my first award tonight thanks to @johntravolta.”
Travolta purposely refused to read the winner’s name at the VMAs because he was worried he might mess it up. At the 2014 Oscars, he mistakenly introduced Idina Menzel as “Adele Dazeem.”

LIL NAS X GRATEFUL FOR CMA NOMINATION – (08/29/2019)
Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” wasn’t allowed to appear on any of Billboard’s country charts, but the viral hit has been nominated for a Country Music Association award.
The record-breaking smash, featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, has been nominated for a CMA award in the category of Musical Event of the Year. The category features records by artists who don’t normally record together. Among the other nominees in the category are Garth Brooks, Blake Shelton, Brooks & Dunn and Maren Morris.
“Thank you guys for this nomination,” tweeted Lil Nas, captioning a photo of the nominees list.
Billy Ray tweeted, “Thank you @CountryMusic! Just found out we’re nominated for Musical Event of the Year! Woohoo!”
On Monday, Lil Nas X won his first-ever award, Song of the Year, for “Old Town Road.”
The CMA Awards air November 13th on ABC.
