MACAULAY CULKIN SHADES ‘THE BIG BANG THEORY’ – (08/10/2018)
Macaulay Culkin could have been one of TV’s most high-paid stars …. If he didn’t think the premise for the show was so lame.
The Home Alone star reveals that he was approached to star in The Big Bang Theory, not once, not twice, but three times. On the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, the 37-year-old explained: “They pursued me for The Big Bang Theory. And I said no. It was kind of like, the way the pitch was, ‘Alright, these two astrophysicist nerds and a pretty girl lives with them. Yoinks!’ That was the pitch. And I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m cool, thanks.’ And then they came back at me again, and I said, ‘No, no, no. Again, flattered, but no.’ Then they came back at me again, and even my manager was like twisting my arm.”
The show just wrapped its eleventh season, with Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar all banking $1 million per episode since season 8.
Still, no regrets.
“I’d have hundreds of millions of dollars right now if I did that gig,” Culkin said. “At the same time, I’d be bashing my head against the wall.”
BABY TIME?
Culkin also revealed that he hopes to have kids with girlfriend Brenda Song, 30.
“I’m gonna make some babies,” he said when asked by Rogan if he wants kids. “This one’s a good one, so I’m probably going to put some babies in her in a little bit. I mean, we’ve definitely been practicing.”
He joked about having biracial children a la John Lennon and Yoko Ono.
“This one, I’m going to have some pretty babies,” he said. “She’s Asian, so I’m gonna have tiny little Asian babies. It’s going to be adorable — a bunch of Sean Lennons running around the house, that’s what I’m looking for.”

PINK SETS SATURDAY RETURN TO STAGE AFTER HOSPITALIZATION – (08/09/2018)
Pink on Wednesday postponed a fourth Sydney show but vowed to be back on stage Saturday following a stomach virus.
Her Beautiful Trauma world tour’s first concert in Sydney was scheduled for last Friday, but she canceled that show on doctor’s orders. The 38-year-old battled through a Saturday night show.
Promoter Live Nation said Pink was admitted to a hospital on Sunday suffering from dehydration and was discharged. But she was readmitted and diagnosed with a gastric virus hours before her Monday concert was due to begin.
She was discharged from the hospital the next day, but Tuesday night’s concert was canceled. Pink said Thursday’s concert would be the fourth and last cancellation.
“I was discharged from hospital last night, and am following doctors orders of liquids and rest,” Pink wrote. “A lot of you know how physical my shows are, and that I don’t just stand in front of a microphone and sing,” she added. “Therefore, I need to be physically healthy and well in order to perform this show. I think all of you deserve the full show and me at my best.”
Pink defended herself in an Instagram post last week after she was photographed with her kids at a beach in Byron Bay after canceling Saturday’s concert. She referenced the beach photos in her new post. “Our next show will be Saturday, and until then I will be drinking green tea, and spending time with my kids. That’s a warning to paparazzi, you might actually see me walking upright outside of my hotel room cage with two little children, and another warning: I might even smile,” the singer said.
Pink’s Australian tour is scheduled to run through August 26th. Live Nation later said Pink would return to Sydney after the New Zealand leg of her tour to perform most of the postponed concerts. The new Sydney show dates are August 24th and September 17-19.
TAYLOR SWIFT LISTED AS PILOT’S EMERGENCY CONTACT BEFORE HE DIED IN CRASH – (08/09/2018)
A pilot who was killed in a crash in 2013 reportedly listed Taylor Swift as his emergency contact.
Michael Callan, 45, was obsessed with Swift and wrote her numerous letters that were said to “have the flavor [of] stalking,” WSMV-TV reported, citing NTSB internal records. In 2012, Callan underwent a mental health evaluation.
Callan was legally drunk when he tried to land a small plane at Nashville International Airport amid dense fog, the National Transportation Safety Board determined. Callan was the only person on the plane at the time of the crash. The plane, a Cessna 172R was said to have burst into flames when it crashed. Callan was reportedly supposed to travel to Pelee Island Airport in Ontario, Canada, but instead flew to Nashville.
The Canadian pilot also listed Swift as his emergency contact on his membership application to the Windsor Flying Club, where he rented the plane.
Callan had a criminal history in Canada and was a bank robber years before his fatal crash. He robbed five banks in eleven months in Windsor and was dubbed “Windsor’s most famous bank robber.”
At the time of the crash, Swift’s publicist said the singer did not know Callan.
