ABC DETERMINED TO PREVENT PLOT LEAKS ON THE CONNERS: Everyone wants to know how ABC’s spinoff of the Roseanne reboot will handle the disgraced titular star’s exit (Roseanne Barr was famously ousted after posting a racist tweet, and the network also canceled her wildly successful show). ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey was tight-lipped at TCA, and said she’d remain so. According to Vulture, details are being so closely guarded, emails are verboten and all communications and scripts are being hand-delivered. One thing is clear: the show will go on, and the family will be depicted as it was, simply without Barr.

PINK ADMITTED TO HOSPITAL FOR GASTRIC VIRUS FOLLOWING CONCERT CANCELLATION – (08/07/2018)

Pink was admitted to the hospital in Sydney, Australia, Sunday night for dehydration, forcing her to postpone a second show, her promoter said. Live Nation revealed that the mother of two was treated and discharged, but was readmitted to the hospital on Monday and diagnosed with a gastric virus.

The singer’s Beautiful Trauma world tour’s first concert in Sydney was scheduled for last Friday, but she canceled that show on doctor’s orders. She battled through a Saturday night show.

“Pink will remain in hospital overnight, continuing her treatment and recovery,” Live Nation said.

After the first concert was canceled, photographs surfaced of Pink and her kids – Willow Sage, 7, and Jameson Moon, 1 – at Byron Bay beach, leading some fans to speculate about whether Pink was actually sick. She defended herself on Instagram, writing: “I don’t need to clear this up, but out of respect for my fans I will attempt it. I scheduled this tour meticulously, trying to do what was best for my children, while also putting on the best and most physically demanding and beautiful show of my life. This break in Byron has been scheduled since 2017, as a way to get outside the hotel and the winter and have some time with my children.”

She then went into detail about her health: “I’ve already been sick twice (kids as well) on this Australian tour, but the first time we got sick, I was able to push through. This time, what these parasite paparazzi don’t show you, is two doctor visits in Byron on two consecutive days, antibiotics, steroids, Vick’s, nose spray, throat spray, more steroids, NyQuil, a screaming baby in the middle of the night, every night, while mama gives him warm baths and tells her daughter everything is fine.”

She added: “What they don’t show you in this picture is me drinking water and lying down while my friends try to entertain my 7 year old who is asking me why these creepy men are surrounding us and pacing back and forth and taking pictures of her every move.”

This is not Pink’s first bout of illness this year: In February, she sang the National Anthem at the Super Bowl while she had the flu.

Pink’s Australian tour is scheduled to run through August 26th.

DAN REYNOLDS POWERS THROUGH SICKNESS AT IMAGINE DRAGONS SHOW – (08/07/2018)

Imagine Dragons’ concert in Houston on Saturday began with a scary moment but ended up being a unique experience for fans.

According to the Houston Chronicle, frontman Dan Reynolds was unable to sing due to some sort of illness, so he asked the fans to sing for him. In between the songs, Reynolds explained the stories behind each track.

“Houston I’m so sorry for tonight,” Reynolds tweeted Saturday. “I thought I could sing through the sickness but I could not. And you sang for me. Thank you [with] all my heart.”

With a concert scheduled in New Orleans on Sunday, Reynolds visited a doctor, who told him that one of his vocal cords wasn’t moving for an “unknown reason.” “I literally thought my career was over,” Reynolds tweeted. “[The doctor] said it could be stress related but didn’t know.”

Nevertheless, Reynolds decided to give the New Orleans show a go, and was greeted with a very welcome surprise.

“My vocal cord vibrated & I could sing again and I feel so happy I could cry forever,” he wrote.

Imagine Dragons’ tour will continue tonight in Orange Beach, Alabama. The band is touring behind their new album Evolve, which features the singles “Believer,” “Thunder” and “Whatever It Takes.”

Kelly’s August 27th performance will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the U.S. Open, which started back in 1968. In her occasional web series Minute + a Glass of Wine, Kelly – in full tennis garb and swinging a badminton racket – says, “Serena, I’m sorry. I’m probably gonna beat you while singing ‘God Bless America.’”

She adds, “I am very excited about coming, though…I heard you never know who you’re gonna see there, all these crazy talented players…and I’m just looking forward to teaching Serena Williams how to play tennis, really, is what I’m looking forward to.”

She then laughs, “I’m totally scared of you, I’m just kidding. You are a beast, I think you’re amazing!”

So far, there’s no word on whether or not Serena is actually going to compete in the U.S. Open.

Meanwhile, Kelly has inked a deal with NBC Entertainment and is filming a pilot for a syndicated daytime talk show. There is no network attached to the project yet, but it is expected to debut in fall of 2019.

DEMI LOVATO POSTS HEARTFELT NOTE AFTER REPORTED OVERDOSE – (08/06/2018)

Demi Lovato is speaking out for the first time since being hospitalized after a reported overdose in late July. The 25-year-old penned a note posted to her social media on Sunday.

“I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction. What I’ve learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet,” Demi wrote.

“I want to thank God for keeping me alive and well. To my fans, I am forever grateful for all of your love and support throughout this past week and beyond. Your positive thoughts and prayers have helped me navigate through this difficult time.”

“I now need time to heal and focus on my sobriety and road to recovery. The love you have all shown will never be forgotten and I look forward to the day where I can say I came out on the other side. I will keep fighting,” she wrote.

The singer goes on to thank her family, her team and the hospital staff, adding, “Without them, I wouldn’t be here writing this letter to all of you.”

“I now need time to heal and focus on my sobriety and road to recovery,” she concludes. “The love you have all shown me will never be forgotten and I look forward to the day where I can say I came out on the other side. I will keep fighting.”

At the end of June, Demi revealed that she’d fallen off the wagon after six years by releasing the song “Sober.” Following her overdose, it re-entered the charts.

PINK HITS BACK AT CRITICISM THAT SHE HIT THE BEACH INSTEAD OF THE STAGE – (08/06/2018)

Please note the following story contains language that could be considered offensive.

Pink is hitting back at critics after she was spotted on the beach following the cancellation of her Sydney concert

The singer announced Thursday that she’d postponed Friday’s show due to an upper respiratory infection, but some outlets posted photos of the singer on the beach in Byron Bay, Australia, with her kids, which some took to mean that she wasn’t as sick as she’d claimed.

Pink took to Instagram to clear up any misconceptions, saying, “This break in Byron has been scheduled since 2017, as a way to get outside the hotel and the winter and have some time with my children.”

She continued, “[What] these parasite paparazzi don’t show you, is two doctor visits in Byron on two consecutive days, antibiotics, steroids, Vick’s, nose spray, throat spray, more steroids, NyQuil, a screaming baby in the middle of the night, every night, while mama gives him warm baths and tells her daughter everything is fine.”

Pink added that she has “never f****d off while disrespecting hard working people who spend money to come see me play.”

She notes, “I have never phoned in a single tour, I have an impeccable record for not cancelling. I mother with everything I have whilst handling all the rest.”

Pink also explained that the picture doesn’t show that she’s drinking water and lying down resting while her friends entertain the kids.

Pink’s pal Justin Timberlake came to her defense in an Instagram comment on the post. Justin, who’s toured with her twice, wrote in part, “I’m here to tell you that you won’t find a harder working, more authentically talented, and more thankful for her place on that stage and her fans than this woman.”

The 37-year-old went on to say he related to what Pink was going through – as he struggles with his own health.

“And NOW… as a parent on tour as well, and an artist who LOVES their fans just as much and wants to give them an unprecedented experience… AND is currently battling an injury, a sinus infection, and trying to be the DAD I want to be too?? I say HATS OFF to you, my friend. I don’t know how Moms/Artists like you exist.”

He also criticized the paparazzi photographers who took the beach pictures and wished Pink a speedy recovery.

“Go make up some fodder about somebody who’s half-assin’ it. NOT a real one. “Wishing you full health and speedy recovery, Pink! Shine on, sis!!!!! – JT,” he ended.

With only two weeks to go until Ariana Grande’s album Sweetener is released, the singer has shared a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the album.

In the clip posted to Twitter, Ariana is heard talking to her collaborator Pharrell Williams from inside the recording booth, describing how connected she feels to what she just recorded.

“These two I feel like sound like my DNA,” she’s heard saying. “Does that make sense? Or how I wish I felt. Not how I feel, but how I’m striving to feel.”

Pharrell tells her, “Listen, when you sing these songs on stage, okay, you will tell people the story of how you felt when we were doing this song. That is what’s so amazing. You will have this to look back on.”

“It’s an escape,” Ariana says.
