Jennifer Lopez and Lady Gaga performed at the presidential inauguration on Wednesday (January 20th).
Gaga sang the national anthem for the event wearing a black and red dress and a large golden broach in the shape of a dove carrying an olive branch. She wrote on Twitter, “May we all make peace with each other.”
Lopez sang a medley of “This Land Is Your Land” and “America The Beautiful” but snuck in some lyrics of her own. After reciting part of the Pledge of Allegiance in Spanish, the singer slipped into her 2000 hit “Let’s Get Loud.”

MILEY CYRUS WANTS TO TAKE HER BIGGEST FAN FOR A MANICURE – (01/21/2021)
Miley Cyrus plans to celebrate the success of Plastic Hearts by taking her biggest fan to get a manicure.
The “Positions” singer wrote “You did it again! Plastic Hearts has spent 6 weeks as the #1 rock album in the country. This is all because of YOU supporting my record! I don’t forget! I really f*cking appreciate it!”
She continued, “When all this SH*T we’re goin thru is herstory imma celebrate by taking my biggest fan to get a FRESH SET HUNTY.”
Plastic Hearts debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 following it’s release on November 27th, 2020. The album is her first entry on the Billboard Top Rock Albums chart.
MACHINE GUN KELLY ADDRESSES SOCIAL MEDIA ABSENCE – (01/21/2021)
Machine Gun Kelly has addressed his absence from social media, revealing that he has been in a “f*cked up place” for months. He explained, “I just wanna say to my fans I’ve been in, kind of like, a f**ked up place personally for a couple of months in my head. So, I haven’t been that active on socials.”
He continued, “But I just got a call from the label about ‘Downfall Highs’. I’m, like, tripping out. Made a verbal typo. It ended up being 16 million***. Love you all so much. Thanks for these moments.”
He also tweeted a few days back “anxiety’s eating me alive.”
SHIA LABEOUF IS READY FOR MEDIATION? – (01/21/2021)
After reportedly resisting mediation initially, Shia LaBeouf seems ready to settle his ex FKA Twigs’ suit against him.
His attorney, Shawn Holley, has filed a case management statement, Us reports. While he still maintains his innocence against the abuse charges she levied against him in December, the statement reveals that the Transformers alum is “willing to participate in mediation” amid the case.
Per Holley’s previous revelations, LaBeouf knows he “needs help” and he and his team are “actively seeking the kind of meaningful, intensive, long-term inpatient treatment that he desperately needs.”
In her suit, Twigs claims he knowingly gave her an STD, and relentlessly abused and assaulted her for their nine month relationship, which ended in June of 2019. Following her revelations, stylist Karolyn Pho and singer Sia shared their abuse allegations.

The Voice coach posted a polaroid of herself on Instagram Tuesday, wearing nothing more than a towel. She wrote, “Hope you’re taking care of yourself. Self love all 2021”.
The 40-year-old singer had previously written on social media that she was “Feeling hopeful, positive, inspired, and recharged for the year ahead.

Lady Gaga has high hopes for the presidential inauguration of Joe Biden.
The singer wrote on Instagram Tuesday (January 19th), “I pray tomorrow will be a day of peace for all Americans. A day for love, not hatred. A day for acceptance not fear. A day for dreaming of our future joy as a country. A dream that is non-violent, a dream that provides safety for our souls. Love, from the Capitol”.
The caption was accompanied by a photo of the singer wearing a white suit while standing in the Capitol rotunda.
She will sing the national anthem at the Biden-Harris inauguration on Wednesday, January 20th.
OLIVIA RODRIGO’S ‘DRIVERS LICENSE’ DEBUTS AT NO. 1 – (01/20/2021)
Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drivers License” is the first single to debut at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 in 2021.
The singer quoted Billboard’s announcement and tweeted, “Number one on the billboard charts. truly cannot believe this is real life. thank u thank u thank u.”
She also called the experience “crazy” on her Instagram Story.
Rodrigo, the 17-year-old star of the Disney+ series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, is one of the youngest artists to reach No. 1 on the Hot 100. At 17 years and 11 months old, she is only three months older than Billie Eilish was when “Bad Guy” reached the summit in August 2019.
MILEY CYRUS SAYS WOMEN ARE ‘HOTTER’ THAN MEN – (01/20/2021)
Miley Cyrus revealed to the Call Her Daddy podcast that she finds women more attractive than men.
The “Prisoner” singer said, “Girls are way hotter. We know this. Everyone, I think, can agree that from ancient times men made wonderful sculptures. Other than that, I’m not as interested.”
She continued, “Everyone knows that women are prettier than men.”
Cyrus also shared that why she prefers same sex relationships saying, “The role that I was in made more sense because there’s not going to be this weird thing that I pay for everything and whatever. Like if I’m going to be with a girl, I’m totally down to be with a boss who’s as successful, or more successful than me; that’s cool, too.”

Alec Baldwin is taking a break from Twitter, following a major uproar over his wife Hilaria Baldwin’s alleged attempt to fake her Spanish heritage.
During the scandal, as he defended her, she copped to being a “white girl” names Hillary from Boston. She has also defended her connection to Spain—she visited the country as a child—but said she never read articles about herself, and so couldn’t correct the many claims that she was born on the island of Mallorca.

MEGHAN MARKLE WANTS TO SETTLE CASE WITH TABLOID AND AVOID TRIAL – (01/20/2021)
Meghan Markle is hoping to settle her suit against the Associated Newspapers in lieu of a trial. Her lawyer asked a British judge on Tuesday to rule that its publication of a “deeply personal” letter to her estranged father was “a plain and a serious breach of her rights of privacy.”
The 39-year-old is suing for invasion of privacy and copyright infringement over five articles published in February of 2019 in the Mail on Sunday and MailOnline, which included portions of a handwritten letter that she sent to her father Thomas Markle, after her marriage to Prince Harry.
The Associated Newspapers is contesting her claim, and a trial is set for the fall. Many expect it to be one of London’s biggest civil court trials in years.
Her lawyer Justin Rushbrooke argued that the publisher had “no real prospect” of winning the case.
“At its heart it’s a very straightforward case about the unlawful publication of a private letter,” he said kicking off a two-day hearing, held remotely because of coronavirus restrictions.

CAMILA CABELLO LAUNCHES THE HEALING JUSTICE PROJECT – (01/20/2021)
Camila Cabello is teaming with Movement Voter Fund to launch the Healing Justice Project, which will focus on giving frontline activists access to mental health support.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the singer donated the seed money for the project and has matched all the funds raised for it to date. The initial ten organizations will receive grants to cover six months’ worth of mental healthcare for their activist workers.
Cabello wrote on Instagram, “Over the past couple of months, Ana Perez & Jerry Tello from the @la.cultura.cura have been guiding me on this journey filled with learning & unpacking the ways I have contributed to systems & beliefs that actively oppress others, whether by making insensitive comments in the past or by being a bystander, & growing to acknowledge the missteps along the way as I work to become a true ally.”
She continued, “And while we all struggled with the events that transpired from the last year, there were activists on the frontlines of those transformative moments carrying the trauma of the unjust systems some groups face everyday. To be a part of this positive change, we have a responsibility to support organizers to care for themselves as they advocate to move our society forward.”
Cabello will be highlighting some of the groups she has been working with on Instagram in the coming months.

Dangerous Woman by Ariana Grande has reached 4 billion streams on Spotify.
According to Pop Crave, it is her third album to achieve the milestone, making her the first female artist to have three albums hit the 4 billion streams.
Chart Data reports that she has surpassed 24 billion streams on Spotify across all credits and is the most streamed female artist in the platform’s history.
JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE OPENS UP ABOUT SON PHINEAS – (01/19/2021)
Justin Timberlake is opening up about Phineas, the son he welcomed last year with Jessica Biel. The pair managed to keep her pregnancy under wraps. The 39-year-old told Ellen DeGeneres before he told almost anyone else.
“Now listen, I’d completely forgotten this but you’re a dad again. You had another little child,” the Ellen DeGeneres Show host, 62, told Timberlake as they chatted via Zoom. “I think we were FaceTiming and you said, ‘Hey, do you want to know a secret?’ and then Jessica walked in and you put your hand on her stomach and you were like, ‘We’re having another baby!’”
He confessed: “You’re one of the first people outside of our immediate family that we told. We were FaceTiming each other and we were like, ‘How are you doing?’ ‘I don’t know, how are you doing?’”
“I’d completely forgotten that because that’s how good of a secret-keeper I am,” the Finding Dory star replied, asking the “Say Something” singer to tell her his baby’s name and “vaguely how old he is.”
He said: “Vaguely? Yeah, I’ll tell you his name. His name is Phineas and he’s awesome and he’s so cute and nobody is sleeping, but we’re thrilled and couldn’t be happier. Very grateful.”
He joked that he and Biel, 38, who also share son Silas, 5, “don’t see each other anymore” now that they have two kids. “It’s a lot of fun but I guess the saying goes, ‘Go from a zone defense to a man-to-man very quickly. ‘You go get that one, I’ll get this one.’ But it’s great and Silas is super excited. Right now, he’s very much liking it but, you know, Phin can’t walk yet or chase him down, so, I don’t know, we’ll see what happens.”
In July, the news broke that they welcomed their second child. The pair seem to be doing fine after a public rough patch; Timberlake was spotted snuggling up with a co-star Alisha Wainwright, but he apologized to Biel, writing on social media: “A few weeks ago I displayed a strong lapse in judgement — but let me be clear — nothing happened between me and my costar. I drank way too much that night and I regret my behavior. I should have known better.”

Rodrigo shared a snap of the cake on her Instagram Stories. The confection had a pastel purple trim and the image of a California driver’s license with Rodrigo’s name and photo on it.

“Drivers License” was streamed 65,873,080 times during the week ending on January 15th, breaking the Spotify record for most streams of a song in a single week.
CELEBRITIES ROAST KRISTY SWANSON FOR TRUMP SUPPORT – (01/19/2021)
Kristy Swanson tweeted that if Donald Trump is removed from John Hughes’ Home Alone 2 as he and star Macaulay Culkin would like, she wants to be removed from his films Pretty in Pink and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
She tweeted: “If Cancel Culture is really going to have Donald J Trump removed from the John Hughes movie Home Alone, then in support of MY PRESIDENT, I’d like to have myself officially removed from the John Hughes’ films Pretty in Pink and Ferris Buhler’s Day Off [sic].”
The 51-year-old popped into a small non-speaking role at the end of Pretty in Pink and made a brief classroom speech in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
