‘COME PLAY’ CLIMBS TO $3M+ – (11/02/2020)
2020 has been a weird year, so the fact that a new release earning $3 million at the B.O. is big news feels just about right. Focus Features / Amblin’s Come Play came in better than expected, with a boost on Halloween night. All told, the PG-13 horror movie earned the top slot with $3.15 million.
Come Play filmmaker Jacob Chase beamed, “Having my first studio movie be released to this wide of an audience is a really special experience. Moviegoers all across the country have had a chance to see this film that I, along with the entire cast and crew, put so much heart and empathy into. While it isn’t exactly how we pictured the movie coming out when we made it, I’ve been remarkably impressed with Focus getting it into so many theaters safely during COVID. Wear your masks and keep your fellow humans safe!”

LORI LOUGHLIN REPORTS TO PRISON – (11/02/2020)
Full House alum Lori Loughlin has reported to prison to serve a two-month stint in a low-security prison for her role in the infamous college admissions scandal. After months of insisting on their innocence, she and husband Mossimo Giannulli pleaded guilty to bribing officials with $500K to get their daughters Bella and Olivia Jade into University of Southern California.
The 56-year-old is set to serve her time at FCI-Dublin in northern California, and started Friday, in a bid to be back out for the holidays.

A source tells People: “She hopes to be home by Christmas, but she’ll definitely be home by New Year’s. She had everything in order, so she decided a couple of days ago to report to prison. She can put this behind her as she goes into 2021.”
Twitter was not impressed. Wrote one: “I’m betting she will walk in stay for and hour then walk right back out ….due to Covid-19 and overcrowding. Celebrities don’t live by the same rules as us normal citizens. And I’m about sick and tired of it.”
Another opined: “You already know how it’s going to go. ‘Prison was life changing. I didn’t think I’d survive. There were nights I just couldn’t sleep because I was terrified. But I kept faith that I’d get out of this situation and I’m so thankful I’m still alive’ “.
She was sentenced to two months in jail, a $150,000 fine and 150 hours of community service, while fashion designer Giannulli, 57, received five months in jail, a $250,000 fine and 250 hours of community service.
PRISON DEETS
TMZ reports that the prison calls for a wake-up call of 5 am. The prison also requires her to make her bed and tidy her cell. She can be disciplined for sloppiness, sleeping in or missing meal time. She will also get a gig: clerical work, cooking, baking or dishwashing are all up for grabs.
However, Loughlin is also allowed to listen to music and watch TV. Plus there are craft classes, wellness classes, exercise and holiday events. She can play a bariety of sports, including ping pong, softball and tennis.

TAYLOR SWIFT IS FREE TO RECORD HER OLD MUSIC – (11/02/2020)
Taylor Swift is finally free to re-record her original music.
In June 2019, Scooter Braun bought the rights to Swift’s catalog from her original label, Big Machine. Two months later, Swift announced on Good Morning America that her plan was to re-record her first five albums as soon as her contract allowed it – in November 2020.
Fans started celebrating on Twitter Sunday (November 1st) that the singer is now free to re-record Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, and 1989, potentially undercutting any profits Braun would gain off the original masters.
According to BuzzFeed, an artist as big as Swift re-recording their catalog is unprecedented in pop music.
HALSEY OBTAINED RESTRAINING ORDER AGAINST FAN – (11/02/2020)
Halsey has obtained a temporary restraining order against a fan who she claims has harassed her and her neighbor.
According to court documents obtained by Page Six, the 26-year-old singer claimed she was fearful of life because of the fan’s actions. The man showed up to Halsey neighbor’s home four or five times looking for the her. Private investigators found the man was recently released from a psychiatric award and believed he was in love with her.
The order was granted on October 23rd and the “Bad at Love” singer and her fan are both due to appear in court on November 16th when the order expires.
LADY GAGA WORE MEAT DRESS TO ASK FANS TO VOTE – (11/02/2020)
Lady Gaga pleaded with her fans to vote while wearing her iconic meat dress from the 2010 VMAs.
The singer thanked the Little Monsters who already voted and told the rest, “If you want this country to be different than it is right now, you have got to participate in this election.
The PSA, shared on Instagram Friday (October 30th), also featured the singer’s other notable looks including the spiky silver costume from the Monster Ball Tour, the bodysuit from her “Poker Face” video and the crystal covered bodysuit, boots and eye mask from her 2017 Super Bowl performance.
She said, “I’ve never been shy to make my voice heard. I’ve said a lot of things in a lot of different ways, wearing a lot of different outfits, makeup, hats, dresses made out of meat. SCARLETT JOHANSSON AND COLIN JOST SECRETLY MARRIED THIS WEEKEND – (10/30/2020)
Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost got married over the weekend, but fans didn’t find out today (October 29th). Meals on Wheels America broke the news about their secret wedding in an Instagram post. According to the announcement, Scarlett and Colin’s “wedding wish” was to support the non-profit organization.
The Instagram post also notes that Scarlett and Colin’s top-secret wedding ceremony followed COVID-19 safety precautions as per the CDC’s direction. Only immediate family members and loved ones were invited to attend in person.
Scarlett and Colin started dating in early 2017. Later that year, the Hollywood actress and Saturday Night Live comedian made their first public appearance as a couple.

KANYE WEST GIFTS KIM KARDASHIAN A HOLOGRAM OF HER DAD FOR HER 40TH BIRTHDAY – (10/30/2020)
Kanye West gave his wife Kim Kardashian a one-of-a-kind gift for her 40th birthday last week. Kim revealed on Instagram that Kanye got her an actual hologram of her deceased father Robert Kardashian.
Kim posted the actual video of the hologram, along with the caption, “For my birthday, Kanye got me the most thoughtful gift of a lifetime. A special surprise from heaven. A hologram of my dad. It is so lifelike and we watched it over and over, filled with lots so tears and emotion.”
She continued, “I can’t even describe what this meant to me and my sisters, my brother, my mom and closest friends to experience together. Thank you so much Kanye for this memory that will last a lifetime.”
Meanwhile, sources told TMZ that during Kim’s 40th birthday celebration, Kanye led Kim, Kris, Khloe, Kourtney and Rob into a dark room and unveiled the hologram to them. Kim and her family watched the hologram several times with their guests and then asked to be alone with it.
The sources also revealed that Kanye spent a lot of time in the studio looking over old footage and audio of Robert in order to create the hologram. AI was used to finish off the project, which Kanye started in early September.
HARRY STYLES SURPRISES FAN WHEN CAR BREAKS DOWN AT HER HOUSE – (10/30/2020)
When Harry Styles experienced car trouble recently, he sought help from people at a nearby house. The family told him that one of the girls that lived there was a big fan, but Theadora wasn’t home!
Before he left, he signed two autographed notes and even fed her pet fish, who is also named Harry. He also took photos in her bedroom with her fish tank. Those later ended up on her Instagram account.
LAUREN JAUREGUI SQUASHES CAMILA CABELLO DATING RUMOR – (10/30/2020)
Lauren Jauregui squashed rumors that she and Camila Cabello had dated. She made it clear that wasn’t even possible. In a podcast she said,” That made me so uncomfortable. Like, disgustingly uncomfortable, because I was queer but she was not. And it made me feel like a predator.”
Jauregui said that in the stories that were written, she was always portrayed as the ‘masculine’ energy in the scenario and it made her very uncomfortable because that’s not how she identifies. She went on to explained “In Latin culture, people would often be very affectionate with one another.”
Jauregui added that she and Cabello were very good friends at that time. “We respected each other. When each other would talk, we would look at each other. We had love for each other, like a genuine friendship.”
She was referring to their time together in Fifth Harmony, Cabello left the group 4 years ago.

ARIANA GRANDE DENIES STEALING THE SONG ‘7 RINGS’ – (10/29/2020)
Ariana Grande is firing back at a lawsuit accusing her of ripping off one of her biggest hits and throwing a little shade in the process. According to court documents obtained by The Blast, she is asking a New York judge to dismiss the case brought by songwriter Josh Stone. Stone says that Ariana’s “7 Rings” ripped off his 2017 track “You Need It, I Got It.” Grande calls the suit “baseless” and says “the melodies of these two songs are not alleged to be the same, much less substantially similar, nor are any of the musical notes or instrumentation at issue.”
She went on to say that you can’t copyright the shared lyrics of… “I got it” or “want it.” Her lawyer wrote that, “both songs are entirely different musically, lyrically and thematically.” In the lawsuit, Josh Stone said he wrote a song called “You Need It, I Got It” in January 2017 and that it was released two years before she released “7 Rings.”
Stone claimed “7 Rings” stole a ton from his song. He said his hook was “You need it, I got it. You want it, I got it” and Ariana sang, “I want it, I got it, I want it, I got it.”
The songwriter said before Ariana Grande released her song, he had several meetings with music executives, including Tommy Brown, who has worked with Ariana on her past 5 albums. He claims Brown told him he really liked the track, but never heard back from him.
WHY KYLIE JENNER DIDN’T ATTEND KIM KARDASHIAN’S 40TH BIRTHDAY PARTY – (10/29/2020)
After Kim Kardashian released a slew of photos from her week-long birthday bash at a private island, fans noticed one notable absence: her sister Kylie Jenner. According to Entertainment Tonight, a source said Kylie was unable to attend the party due to work commitments. This could be true, as Kylie has been busy with the release of a new Leopard collection with her makeup brand, Kylie Cosmetics, as well as an appearance in a Halloween makeup tutorial with YouTuber James Charles. KHLOE KARDASHIAN TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID IN KEEPING UP WITH THE KARDASHIANS PREVIEW – (10/29/2020)
Looks like another celebrity fell victim to the coronavirus: Khloe Kardashian apparently caught the virus earlier this year, according to an exclusive clip of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. The clip begins with mom Kris Jenner expressing concern, with Kim adding that they were “…anxiously awaiting the results”. Then, in self-recorded footage, Khloe confirms that she had tested positive for the virus. “Just found out that I do have corona”, she announced, adding that she had been in her room recovering after a couple of “really bad” days. She detailed her symptoms, as well, which included vomiting, shaking, hot and cold flashes, and terrible headaches. She ended the clip with some positive words, saying “we’re all gonna get through this.”

SAM SMITH TALKS OPENLY ABOUT HAIR TRANSPLANT SURGERY – (10/29/2020)
In a video posted by Vogue, Sam Smith spoke candidly about their hair loss and talked about why they had hair transplant surgery. They said, “It’s nice to have hair, but also if I was bald I would still own it, too. Because bald is beautiful.”
They confessed, “I haven’t actually spoken about this before, so I’m gonna speak about it because I don’t actually feel like I have anything to hide.”
Smith said that they was losing their hair and their hairdresser suggested a transplant, so they looked into it. In the video posted online, they also shares their daily beauty and skin care rituals.
BEBE REXHA TO MAKE FEATURE FILM DEBUT WITH KRISTEN BELL – (10/29/2020)
Bebe Rexha is set to make her feature film debut in Queenpins with Kristen Bell. The story follows a suburban housewife, fed up with being overlooked by her husband and society, who decides to start an illegal coupon club. The female-driven comedy, also stars Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Vince Vaughn, and Paul Walter.
Rexha will play an eccentric computer hacker who helps our heroines with their coupon scam. She posted about it online and wrote: “Can’t wait for this.”
DUA LIPA TO HOST MULTI-DIMENSIONAL STREAMING EVENT – (10/29/2020)
DUA LIPA has created an upcoming online event of music and theater calling it Studio 2054. Shot live in a massive warehouse location, you’ll see her move through custom built sets; surreal tv shows, roller discos and such. She will also be joined by a host of surprise superstars.
The show will be streamed beginning November 27 at different times across the globe. In the U.S. that will be at 9pm ET. Individual tickets are priced at $11.99 and go on sale tomorrow (October 30.)
The multi-dimensional show will feature tracks from her debut album, as well as her current one.
