Janice Crawford of the Mount Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce called in to Roy yesterday to discuss Governor Sununu’s Extension of the “Stay At Home Order” and the schedule for the reopening of New Hampshire’s economy. Janice said that the Chamber is ready and prepared to help out all members and non-members alike and is hoping to be able to assist in the Valley in getting ready for the “new normal”. Roy asked Janice about the Chamber’s Newsletter that they’ve been putting out that is full of great resources and information. They also discussed what the town’s Board of Selectmen have been up to in encouraging voters to lower the taxes and how Congressman Chris Pappas has been working to amend the PPP Program in order to include the Chamber. The Executive Director of the Gibson Center and familiar voice to the airwaves of Mt. Washington Radio, George Cleveland called in last week to talk with Roy Prescott. George discussed what the Gibson Center has been up to in response to the coronavirus and explained their game plan when it comes to their meals and donations. Roy also asked George about fundraisers not just for the Gibson Center but all around the valley and George explains how some are getting very creative. The two also touched on “local radio” as a platform and how it’s been as reliable now than it’s ever been. To close George shares some great advice on how to stay positive despite the pandemic. Today on Gino and The Magic Morning Show, Gino was joined by the Owner of Johnson’s Auto Care, John Johnson. John checked in with us to let us know that Johnson’s is still open and will continue to serve the Mount Washington Valley throughout this pandemic. John told Gino about the 43 year history of Johnson’s, the services they provide, and mentioned the changes that their establishment has gone through in order to service your vehicles safely and clean. John touched on his love for the Valley and how it’s a real big deal for his company to give back to the community whenever they can with such events like the Vaughan Food Drive every November and more. He also reminded us all that it’s time to get those snow tires off! Click below to listen!
